Republicans are almost certainly going to win the house, they're favored to win the senate, and even Obama's once seemingly invincible position now seems to be slipping daily. I would be surprised if you could look at the election in 2012 and not call it a Republican victory.

7 out of the past 10 incumbents have won re-election so in that sense history is on Obama's side. Neither Perry nor Romney really get the GOP's base juices following. Nowhere near like Obama did for the Democrats in '08 for example.

I think it is pretty clear Obama is vulnerable but I also think it is pretty clear there is no guarantee a Republican is winning.
