When George W. Bush took office, America was at peace, prosperous, and employment was high. The budget was balanced.

When George W. Bush left office, America was mired in a failed and apparently endless 'war on terror', the nation was broke, unemployment was high, and the deficit was massive.

It took Bush and the GOP 8 years.

Now, less than 3 years after Obama took office, things are worse.

According to the GOP, either America was really better off all along under Bush, or Obama should have cleaned up Bushs' messes by now. despite their constant opposition and obstructionism. :palm:

It's remarkable how much damage Bush was able to do in 8 years.

What's even worse is that Cheney won't shut up these days, in his neverending attempt to repair his legacy (which is one of disaster from him for decades)...

What is even worse is that none of the bush babies will never be brought to trial.

how do you live with such an extreme case of BDS?

It's really not something I think about, unless Cheney is making a fool of himself on TV again, or some whiny Bush apologist on the board is trying to tell me that he wasn't accountable for Iraq or the economy crashing, or is trying to tell me that Obama is just like Bush, because "Libya was just like Iraq!"

how odd, cheney wasn't on tv today, and no one in this thread said bush wasn't accountable....and yet you still spout off a bush rant.

you are hereby diagnosed with a terminal case of BDS

What's the surest sign Obama is the big under dog he says he is. His nut suckers can't get over bush. Only question remainig is Obama Whittier than carter on the economy.

I might not even vote for Obama, and it's America that can't get over Bush, Duuuuude. How much cash did you lose in '08?

You really delude yourself that you have ever, much less in post #8, asked a hard hittin' question...

where did i mention question here?

how is that reading comprehension problem projection going?

still avoiding post 8 i see.....:)

What would you like me to say about it? Your hero Cheney was on TV yesterday, saying that Obama should "apologize" to he & Bush, 2 war criminals who you habitually apologize for.

And your love for Bush is so incredibly deep - touching, in a way - that you don't even realize that nary a day goes by without you're trying to absolve him for anything that he did regarding the economy, the wars or America's dire situation in general. I have rarely seen someone so enamored of a person they don't even know...

Not that I know of.

Now, answer my question, please.

It depends on how they are applied. For instance: I give you incentive to hire people by giving you tax credits for x number of years. Then yeah, they probably would, with the added benefit (if enough are created) of increasing revenue as more people are actually paying taxes. (The people who got hired, the people hired to make the stuff they are going to buy, etc.)

Rising water lifts all boats. (At least the ones that aren't in dry dock.)

Would you say the Bush tax cuts were misapplied?
