True, but very few were ever chairmen of Democratic Presidental canidates state campaigns. And a pholosophy shift as dramatic as that is a very difficult one to understand. From far left to radical right in a few short years makes me question a canidate's integrity, is he just saying what most likely gets him elected? It makes me wonder if he has any real core.

The current polling data.... most recent is a 4 point Perry lead over Romney, the average of all the polls listed is 11 points for Perry.
I think it was more Kerry than Gore. My mistake.
I stand corrected on that point, still I never felt Hillary had a lock. I hope you are correct and Perry is not the nominee.

Asking him why he switched is a fair question. Many who have switched have claimed either they didn't switch positions their party did or (for Republicans) claimed they were young and idealistic and then became more conservative as they got older.
Well, it was the truth, and the way he explained it was reasonable, if people had been willing to look beyond the soundbite.
So you have a logic problem also, I never said Kerry switched parties.

Many people have changes their political affiliations throughout their life. Some more than once. Unless someone is doing it for outright political advantage I really doubt people are going to scream flip-flopper. To many Republicans Ronald Reagan ranks as one of the tops yet he was a Democrat in his younger days.
My mom was a Democrat for many years, became a sort-of Republican and then realized she didn't like either party and regestered Independent. Is she some big flip flopper to you?
Hell look at this board. Cypress previously said he was a Republican turned Democrat. Mott was a Republican turned Democrat. Bravo was a Democrat turned Republican. Smarter Than You was a Democrat turned Libertarian. There may be others as well. Not that uncommon dude.
