EPA regulation forces closure of Texas energy facilities, eliminates 500 jobs
By Matthew Boyle - The Daily Caller 11:15 AM 09/12/2011

Texas energy company Luminant announced on Monday new burdensome Environmental Protection Agency regulations are forcing it to close several facilities, which will result in about 500 job losses.
The company will be idling — stopping the usage of — two energy generating units. It will also cease extracting lignite from three different Texas mines.:palm::palm::palm::palm::palm::palm:

Gee; I HOPE they CHANGE that.

Don't let any facts get in the way of your hate.

Boo-hoo.

No more brown coal mined or burned in Rick Perry's Texas paradise?

If only rich people could continue to amass more wealth while spewing pollution!

Because of its low energy density and typically high moisture content, brown coal is inefficient to transport and is not traded extensively on the world market...

And just think of the jobs lost - all those doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and funeral directors whose jobs will be impacted by those nasty job-killing burdensome government regulations that came from the EPA - which was created by a Republican president, and was enforcing standards enacted by a GOP-dominated Congress.

Let's blame the Black man in the White House, even though Obama recently enraged some of his supporters by issuing an executive order postponing a plan by the Environmental Protection Agency to tighten ozone standards!
