Yes, I've heard of those things, and AGAIN... I have stated (twice now) that nut jobs do sometimes invoke Christianity to do crazy things. My statement was NOT that Christianity is pure and devoid of any violent past, I asked for you to tell me a period of time when Islam was NOT violent... you failed to! Instead, you decided to twist that around and pretend I said something different. How about getting your partisan head out of your ass and follow the conversation for once?

Give me a period of time - I'll find you some "Christian" violence. What you say about that violence also applies to Islam - it's the actions of a relatively small group of extremists.

The Quran says to strike the neck of the infidel. The Quran says to strike terror into the hearts of the unbeliever. The quran instructs husbands on how to beat their wives. The Quran says to not make friends with Christians or Jews. Could you please show us similar doctrines from the New Testament. Thanks.

anytime religion teams up with the state, there is going to be violence! it happened in the past, it will happen in the future! it is why our FF's wanted a secualr government! they experienced what was happening in jolly old England and didn't like it.

No, it's simply NOT the actions of a small group of extremists, it is their fundamental religious teaching. It's the diametric OPPOSITE of Christianity, where the fundamental teaching of the religion is peace, love and forgiveness. With Christianity, is IS a small group of extremists who instigate violent actions in the (misguided) name of the religion.... with Islam, the small group of extremists are those who claim to be Muslim but do not subscribe to the 5th century barbarism found in the religious teachings...these are few and far between, because peace love and forgiveness are contradictory to Islam.
