house passes plan to cut food stamps 20% next year

I notice no link to the bill... and on searching for it in the news the latest farm bill (that's where food stamps come from) that was passed was in 2008 and it passed both the House and the Senate.

it was in our local paper the santa barbara news press this week - a right wing rag

Ummm shouldn't they take that job? If they are currently unable to afford food, shouldn't they be attempting to be able to?

have you ever tried to support a family on minimum wage or part time work -there is a recession going on (or likely it will be declared one, but check out the unemployment statistics

the point is that employers like a labor rich market place as they can keep wages and benefits low

Thats a bullshit statement.

I have seen plenty of whiteys get turned away. I tell them to put on their black face and go back dressed up as a crack whore or your mom.

chinga tu madre

fyi, more whites are on welfare and food stamps that blacks

And my point is working for money is more likely to buy food than not working. Without any sort of bill to be seen, I cannot accurately critique it and decide whether or not I agree with it.

Kind of like someone saying that they're starving; but they're not going to eat what is available.

Which is pretty much my position. No bill has been passed, it would very definitely be covered if it was, especially if the cut of 20% were true...

I see many stories about D's in the Senate contemplating cuts to pay for more teachers (I fail to see how the feds should be paying for teachers anyway, education is definitely not one of the powers of the feds in the constitution), but there is nothing at all about a farms bill passing recently.

Does anyone have a House bill number? Or is this just another LIE from the left wing retards.

Something like this would be on all the major news sites. I didn't even find it in some right wing rag.

weird, it was reported as having passed the house

but you are correct in that i have not seen it anywhere else either and should have expected it to be

actually, someone with a family can do better on welfare than on minimum wage

as for percentages, your comment implied that blacks get better treatment than whites regardless
