San Francisco police are investigating a homicide in the Mission district — the third killing in the neighborhood within a week.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired around 2:20 a.m. Monday found a victim with gunshot wounds to the head and chest on Camp Street near Guerrero Street, a quiet residential block near bustling 16th Street.

The victim, who hasn’t been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
