I think its a mistake to claim it was nothing to be embarrassed about, or even to defend it as "hyperbole" the way Poet did, but its still just one mistake and people shouldn't try to make it into such a knock on the president. All it really indicates is that he isn't the most comfortable speaker of all-time.

They even cut the clip short, he repeated it several times... Personally I say it was because he was tired. Extremely tired. But the "I meant to do that" defense is for Peewee Herman, not the President.
