Dr. King Weeps From His Grave - Op-Ed by Dr. Cornel West for the NYT

Christians in name only , aren't Christians ?.....I certainly agree....did you mention that to your fellow pinheads when they were ranting a raving about that nutbag in Norway that killed all those people...and set off the bomb....Anders Behring Breivik ???
I don't recall you defending Christians then, but if you did, thats very good....I felt like the Lone Ranger then against the onslaught of pinheads bashing Christians as terrorists....

Then you go on to say..."I see a whole bunch of white Christians acting as terroristically and irresponsibly as radical Islamists. Some black Christians are no better"

Are these people Christians in name only....A WHOLE BUNCH OF WHITE ones and SOME BLACK ones.....
Is it only those Christians whose values agree with yours that are "real" Christians ?
You're not one of the "fake Christians", huh ?

Uh, Christ is the standard...not my values. If you're in line with his teachings, then you're pretty much a Christian....if you're not, well........

There is not a limit test on values....The 10 Commandments and the Beatitudes are pretty much all you need.

Freedom? You, sitting around with a gun in your hand, looking at the door, waiting for a raid, is "freedom"??????????????
All guns should be banned....they are nothing but agents of death and destruction, in the hands of crazies. As a former victim of gun violence, I speak from an informed position.

you speak from a totally illogical and irrational position. If guns are nothing but agents of death and destruction, why do we let the government agents have them?

The 10 Commandments and the Beatitudes, huh....well, not being even a little religious, and more Agnostic than not, I'll take your word for it.....but that never stopped me from defending Christians....
I'm convinced we live in a Christian inspired country, and having probably over 80 % of nation claiming to be Christians, I take their side in most conflicts....and having been raised by Christians and schooled in some Christian schools, I have a rudimentry knowledge of their values and beliefs....

Well, I grew up Episcopalian, and attended an Episcopal boys choir school, in Chicago, one of 5 in the nation, for 3 years, where we sang mass, 6 days out of 7. I studied religion, Latin, Music Theory, Catechism, and I was once a page at the national Episcopal diocesan conference. I assume that makes me a Christian. But I'm not fooled by the notion that someone is a Christian, simply because they profess to be....and want to impose their "alleged Christian values" (which may or may not be "Christian-based" at all) on me or the rest of the country. Christ preached tolerance and acceptance...and I don't see these supposed Christians practicing any of that. And on the contrary, we live in a "faith-based" country , where people are free to practice whatever religion they so choose, not necessarily or exclusively "Christianity". I believe in distinct separation of church and state.

LOL. What do you think we'll be reveling in the crowning of President Bachmann, or President Perry, or President Romney....because actually, that's all you have to compete with President Obama...and the conventional wisdom is none of them stand a ghost of a chance. LOL. In spite of the economy in tatters. I'll be having caviar and champagne, bitch...talking about "4 more years!"

Caviar & champagne, the closest you will get to that is a can of sardines and a 40 oz. Meanwhile, crackers like me will continue to rake in the money and laugh when we read articles about thousands of people standing in the hot sun waiting to fill out a job application at McDonalds. Do you really think blacks can afford 4 more years of Obama.

Based on what The Obama has done to the black race in three short years, you shouldn't be wishing for four more.

I routinely enjoy caviar and champagne, along with Drambuie, cracked crab, venison sausage, cold boiled shrimp, brie, lox and cream cheese, gumbo (which costs upward of $45 to make), Grey Goose Vodka, and the finer things in life. I have Directv and Netflix. I go to the opera, and dance recitals. I'm cultured and refined, unlike your inbred, redneck, moonshine-drinking hillbilly ass.

"Crackers"??? Is that what you're calling yourself these days? Am I supposed to be answering to the infamous "n-word"? And I wouldn't know about "thousands of people", standing around in the hot sun (no doubt, your relatives), filling out job applications at McDonalds. I'm retired from healthcare since '93, and work, privately, as a free-lance writer, musician and producer.
And yes, I think blacks and the rest of the country would do well to have Barack Obama for 4 more years? Why? Don't you, Miss WebbThing?

You laugh at people not as fortunate as yourself? Wow, talk about low self esteem with maybe a dash of BPD!

Please. He thinks blacks are monolithic, and the bulk are "hoodrats"..."jiving" and "gang-banging"...not knowing that many of us grew up like "The Huxtables". LOL.
