Uh, Christ is the standard...not my values. If you're in line with his teachings, then you're pretty much a Christian....if you're not, well........

There is not a limit test on values....The 10 Commandments and the Beatitudes are pretty much all you need.

The 10 Commandments and the Beatitudes, huh....well, not being even a little religious, and more Agnostic than not, I'll take your word for it.....but that never stopped me from defending Christians....
I'm convinced we live in a Christian inspired country, and having probably over 80 % of nation claiming to be Christians, I take their side in most conflicts....and having been raised by Christians and schooled in some Christian schools, I have a rudimentry knowledge of their values and beliefs....

Well, I grew up Episcopalian, and attended an Episcopal boys choir school, in Chicago, one of 5 in the nation, for 3 years, where we sang mass, 6 days out of 7. I studied religion, Latin, Music Theory, Catechism, and I was once a page at the national Episcopal diocesan conference. I assume that makes me a Christian. But I'm not fooled by the notion that someone is a Christian, simply because they profess to be....and want to impose their "alleged Christian values" (which may or may not be "Christian-based" at all) on me or the rest of the country. Christ preached tolerance and acceptance...and I don't see these supposed Christians practicing any of that. And on the contrary, we live in a "faith-based" country , where people are free to practice whatever religion they so choose, not necessarily or exclusively "Christianity". I believe in distinct separation of church and state.

Meanwhile, crackers like me will continue to rake in the money and laugh when we read articles about thousands of people standing in the hot sun waiting to fill out a job application at McDonalds. I routinely enjoy caviar and champagne, along with Drambuie, cracked crab, venison sausage, cold boiled shrimp, brie, lox and cream cheese, gumbo (which costs upward of $45 to make), Grey Goose Vodka, and the finer things in life. I have Directv and Netflix. I go to the opera, and dance recitals. I'm cultured and refined, unlike your inbred, redneck, moonshine-drinking hillbilly ass.

I'm retired from healthcare since '93, and work, privately, as a free-lance writer, musician and producer.
