Make Them!

Damn....you must positively feel terrorized and traumatized by the constant warnings on TV about hurricane Irene for the past 96 hours.....I feel very bad for you....

It is unlikely that he was referring to meteorological affairs. But carry on sailor, you might find an argument if you keep looking. Dont get distracted by the golden rivet though.

Quite possibly. How many proven attacks have there been and how many can you prove were prevented by warnings.

I am not privvy to what the government knows. I just wondered how you know for sure all the warnings were fake. Do you have any proof of your claim?

Well, you might like to compare your own government (particularly under bush) with overseas governments. Spain suffered terrorist attacks as did the UK, nowhere was the falsely engendered panic on the same scale as in the US. Indeed one thing we British tend to like about ourselves is that we can carry on when things get nasty. No way will we let the terrorists know we are scared.

The US on the other hand, let the world know that they were scared shitless and OBL had won. He could relax in his cave sharing his various passions with the odd goat and not bother with America.

For hundreds of years (possibly thousands) governments have known that a frightened population is easy to govern. The fact that otherwise intelligent Americans elected bush, the most stupid American, as their president and turned a blind eye to the evil that lay behind him when, in their heart of hearts, they must have known it was wrong is testament to the success of manipulation of the many by the few.

So were all the warnings fake?

Nothing happened. No one attacked you. No foreign troops were found on your beaches. No missiles hurtled towards you.

You can justify 'the warnings' till the cows come home but I very much doubt that you will ever prove their truth.

They are not irrefutable facts. (THEY)
Hows this one....."Lowaicue is a moron and an asshole and immensely stupid".

This a an irrefutable fact......or is it three separate irrefutable facts...?.....It is absolutely one or the other....

I must leave that to you. You obviously are entertained by it.

Sorry Stallion...this was meant for poor poor terrorized Rana.....

as of this printing there have been 10 storm related deaths - usually of people that ignored the warnings

the media is rather overdoing the warning bit pinprick, but then there are just enough people that either do not get the message or ignore it

if you live in the path of the hurricane, feel free to take a stroll out of doors when it goes by

We have been, and if you don't see this, you are in denial. We have terrorized our own population! What do you think the rainbow alerts were during the Bush administration days? There are a lot of ways the US government has terrorized, you post it here on a daily basis, yet, just to go against something I have posted you state bullshit. How convenient.

you've seriously lost your mind.

Well, it's certainly your uneducated mob of idiots who are seen by the world at large as holding the country to ransom - just so you can go and shoot a polar bear and carry the LV bags of the Koch-up bros.

there are uneducated idiots in every mob, just look at the liberals. I tend to group the ones that make broad generalizations of actions intended to label an entire group as uneducated idiots.

Kind of interesting those who want spending cuts are deemed 'radical conservatives'. And how do we "make" corporations end the recession/economic down turn?
Yea, yea, yea....were the fuck were you guys during the Bush years when he ran up our debt more then any US President in our history? Yea boy....you sure were out there raising hell about all that spending, weren't you? [/sarcasm]

It's not exremism from the right that's being pointed out, other then their "We're going to take our ball and go home if we don't get our way" tantrums they've been throwing. No, what's disgusting most of the public is their fucking complete hypocrisy.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't it Dick Cheney who said "Deficits don't matter.". So why the fuck do they matter now? Huh?

Spare me the false outrage.

Oh, I thought you had all the answers. How does our government make other nations do our bidding? Maybe we should apply some of that good old US muscle!

There are many ways to make them comply. We are still one of the best markets in the world. There has to be ways. O make corporations understand this and make them put the USA first.
Not that I don't think that our deficits need to be addressed but right now we have to focus on getting out of this recession first and I think we need to address our trade deficits first. Warren Buffet's idea for managing our trade deficit sounds like a legit plan and that would put a lot of people back to work. We also need to do some serious infrastructure spending. Almost everyone agrees our internal infrastructure is crumbling. A tax increase to raise about $500 billion in infrastructure improvements would be a great investment. It would benefit all of America, including the wealthy and corporate American and the spending on construction would put millions back to work doing productive work and that would in turn pump a lot of money back into circulation.

It is incredibly convenient how your type have either completely forgotten - or completely ignored - the fact that the biggest criticism of the Bush administration from conservatives was their propensity for spending. An honest person could go back to political BBS archives and see post after post after post of conservatives - especially those who strongly identify themselves with the libertarian movement - criticizing Bush and Cheney for their spending and their cavalier remarks about deficits.

The false outrage comes from YOUR side of the debate, who, for 8 years, whined about Bush's massive spending, then turn around and praise Obama's spending at 5 times the rate of Bush.

FYI, you're not British.

The traditional way to reduce deficits is to allow some inflation into the system, maybe a good case for QE3.

Great - making everyone have to start paying more for everything is just what we need - especially the poor and unemployed. Fiscal liberalism is truly spawned of complete idiocy.
