Teacher Suspended For Free Speech

The reality is, what we say on facebook can be used against any of us. Employers look at your facebook account to see if they can find out about you, and I'm sure that if I went on up on facebook and started in on some rants about how much I hate people I work with I could get fired... Or a racist rant, or whatever...

People get stupid on facebook and think they are in their back yard or something, they aren't. Everybody and anybody can read most of what you say.
 
In my opinion, if the teacher did not speak to any student, he was within his constitutional rights. Someone didn't like what he said so they bitched. No one has the right to not be offended in America.

we are talking about the government, eg, government as the employer. private companies, especially in at will states, can do as they please. the rules are different for the government. same analysis for the government?
 
care to actually discuss my points dune? or are you going to chicken out and just groan as you usual do because you lack the ability to understand what is being said. i don't think you have the capability of explaining why my post is wrong.
