As to your comment that you can speak to anything you have yet to speak about the challenge the black community faces in making education a higher priority and not a 'trying to be white' thing. It's a discussion that has been occuring within the black community and even seeped into the public via prominent members of the community such as Bill Cosby.
100 points! And I was going to post earlier that the unconscious racist typically brings up Bill Cosby, but I didn't want to poison the well. How predictable. Bill Cosby isn't talking to you or for you. And the debate within the black community between black thinkers has been going on in this country since Booker T Washington and W.E.B. Dubois. They weren't talking to you or for you either. Just because Bill Cosby says things that appeal to white racists, doesn't make him right. It doesn't even make him white. It makes him a black asshole, which is what most blacks I have known think of him. But he is good for one thing...he's good for a laugh when whites who practice mostly, but not solely, unconscious racism bring him up. It never fails. The Bill Cosby.
