I am so proud of America for having learned from our mistake in Iraq and for the illistration of how regieme change can be handled when incompetance and greed are not in the way of a humanararian goal. The price of gas should drop, we will have a new Arab trading partner and alli... All at a fraction of the cost of the Iraq war, without the loss of the life of a single American hero and without the huge propaganda boom Iraq gave the now all but defunct AL Queda.

wow, just wow...comparing the two is beyond silly jarod...it is plain wrong.

why aren't you comparing afghanistan?

Oh my, oh my! After you spent the entire week when we got involved in Libya comparing the 2.

Incredible. Man, you have no sense of irony...

Afganistan is a different story, they did not have a stable governemnt when we started. They harbored those who planned and exicuted 9-11 and in fact it likely could have been done much more simular to how Lybia was handled if done so from the start.

I wonder how all those who have been all over President Obama about Lybia are feeling today?

Who can forget "boots on the ground" and "Libya is an invasion, just like Iraq! Where are the leftie protesters now?"

I guess Yurt can, even though he repeated both ad nauseum. This thread is already a keeper...

what?

how can you compare the two. that is absurd and completely false. the comparison in stating we could have treated the two the same militarily is dead wrong. libya is much smaller, has a much smaller military and had more people in the country willing to fight gaddafi. don't forget we had an embargo and no fly zone over iraq for 12 years and that did nothing to decrease saddam's power in the country. there is no comparing the two in the manner you have.

How many Americans have been killed in Libya Oncie? How many trillions of dollars did we spend in ousting Qaddaffi Oncie? Are you such a partisan hack that you're not going to agree that the situation was handled there appropriatly?

As to your point...yea...it makes you fucking wonder how the war in Afghanistan would have progressed had some one competent been in charge at the beginning.

so we have three libs saying that iraq and afghanstan could have been handled the same as libya...wow

obama has surged the number of troops on the ground in afghanistan, how can you think the two could be handled the same way?

You have a wonderful penchant for putting words in peoples mouths. Nice try. Completely divorced from reality but nice try.

Is their something wrong with your reading skills? Don't you comprehend the difference between a question and a statement?

If they don't die in war, what makes them heroes?

Do you know how many Libyans died in this war?

Qaddaffi and Libya mean nothing to the US.....What dictator is ruling Libya is irrelevant to the US.....

now, with Qaddaffi ousted our only concern will be if the country is taken over by crazy Muslims like those firing rockets into Isreal from Egypt now.....

We'll see....
