WHY OBAMA WILL WIN in '12

I provided you the links, the do say what I said they say. You can claim differently if you choose, a government sponsored day of prayer is contrary to the First Amendment.

Um... Not really.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Day_of_Prayer

The National Day of Prayer (36 U.S.C. § 119)[1] is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the United States Congress, when people are asked "to turn to God in prayer and meditation". Each year, the president signs a proclamation, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.[2] The modern law formalizing its annual observance was enacted in 1952, although it has historical origins to a mandate by George Washington, the first president of the United States.[3][4][5]

Its constitutionality is being challenged in court by the Freedom From Religion Foundation after their first challenge was unanimously dismissed by a federal appellate court in April 2011.[6][7][8]

what part of: western modern culture

do you not understand? i mean, you don't even realize your country has armed forces.

Try not to be a bigger idiot than you already are, Yurt.
I have more 'Western Culture' running through my veins than your country has in total.

Just because I disagree with a Federal Appeals court does not mean I am wrong.

Very briefly then. China has the oldest continuing culture in the world. It is often strange to a westerners eyes. It consists of several belief systems from Confucionism and Taoism to an almost slavish obedience to Fung Shui. They believe in ghosts (last weekend saw the beginning of the 'Hungry Ghost' festival in HK, when the gates of hell are said to open.)

There are many ceremonies attached to faith and superstition and there are at least as many 'explanatory' myths as there are in the West.
The Chinese culture, like any ancient culture, marks who the Chinese are.

You may disagree, you may not like that, but as an American, you must respect the ways of other people.

The Mormons and all other evangelistic churches (most but not all American) come here to CONVERT people to their faith. CONVERT. That means to persuade people that their own belief system and ancient culture is wrong and the worship of a different fairy is right.

You have precious little history of your own so, perhaps, cannot appreciate how important history is to a culture.
If there are any evangelists reading this forum, my message, loud and clear would be:

STAY AWAY FROM THAT WHICH IS NOT YOURS. PUT YOUR OWN HOUSE IN ORDER.

So again.... you don't think the established 'fairy tales' should ever be challenged or alternative 'fairy tales' told just because they are 'old'?

I respect all cultures, but find it rather absurd that you think it is such an affront to talk to them about other religious beliefs.

That is the same type of stupid mindset that many here in the US have with regards to teaching/sharing alternative ideas. It is the mindset of a simpleton in my opinion.

I know you hate the US and love to bash it, but if we were to apply YOUR line of thinking here, we would never learn about the benefits of Chinese culture.... medicinal in particular would be a good example. It is a closed minded attitude that is quite simply equivalent to a child throwing a tantrum.

If a person asked me (as many Mormons for example do) if they can share their views, as an adult I don't mind their asking. If I say no and they persist (which no Mormon I have encountered ever has) THEN I can see being upset as THEN they would not be respectful of my beliefs/wishes.

I don't preach. I assist.
Hardly comparing apples with apples, are you? How many Chinese evangelists go to America? How many British tele evengelists do you have on your screens?

How many Chinese acupuncturists come here? How many Chinese herb shops do we see? They are here to SHARE their views and beliefs. Whether they are religious is irrelevant.

After thinking about this over the past few days I have to say...

President Obama appears politically weak to me. As politically weak as Bush appeared in 04'. I do not belvie that he is certantly going down to defeat. In fact if the Republicans nominate Perry, Bachman, Palin or many others I would predict that Obama will win. If the REpublicans nominate Romney, I suspect at this point that Romney would win. Obama has the opertunity to run against Congress instead of his opponant and I suspect that is what he will do if Romney is nominated.

Just because I disagree with a Federal Appeals court does not mean I am wrong.

In this case it is strong evidence that you are. You dislike it, I get that. But there is no "The Right of Jarod to Rewrite Portions of the Constitution According To His Sole Opinion" in the Bill of Rights. Maybe it is hidden in Amendment 9, but I don't think so.

Oh please, please, please stop using the word 'share' instead of simply 'tell'.
No chinese herbalist sets sail from China to 'share' anything. He goes abroad to sell his products and make money. It has nothing to do with religion. Nothing at all to do with faith. There is no worship involved (although it wouldn't surprise me to see Californians jumping up and down and shouting Halleluyah ). It has absolutely nothing to do with religion in any way shape or form and even if it did how many temples to Ginseng have they built in your neighbourhood?
No Chinese business man has ever said (as far as I know) that the god of Ling Zhi has commanded them to go and preach to the poor ignorant, sinning Americans.

explain. i notice you keep avoiding your idiocy of believing your country doesn't have armed forces.

Yurt, I am avoiding nothing. I really do not know what your problem is. I haven't mentioned troops of any kind. What would you like me to say?
I know you said something about 'my country's troops' enabling me to use the internet or something but, honestly, did you expect a response to such stupidity? I'm sorry if you did but I fear you will be disappointed. Feel free to name call or label me a liar or whatever your word of the moment might be.

People always call Mormonism a cult religion, but in a way, isn't that what organized religion inherently is? It's just that some have been around longer & have more people...

You are correct, Christianity was considered the child of Judaism and a cult at one time.
