Top Black Dem On Obama Bus Tour: "He's Not In Any Black Community"

first of all, the issue wasn't whether it was Obama's fault, you asked for links that unemployment was higher under Obama than under Bush.........second, after three years you can no longer get by with the excuse that it's Bush's fault......third the Repubs "pushed" anti-healthcare and anti-tax revenues because the Dems were pushing health care and tax revenue.......perhaps the people in charge of the agenda for two years should have been pushing job creation.....
fourth, I'm as big as I'm going to get.....

Who sez?

clarify.....are you saying I'm going to get bigger or are you saying Democrats shouldn't have been pushing job creation in 2009-2010 or are you saying you CAN still get by with the excuse that it's Bush's fault or are you saying you didn't ask for links that unemployment was higher?.......

Bush's fault, as to the severity of the debacle...and compounded by the obstructionist Republican Congress.

There's a time period gap between those who you blame. What happened then?

What happened was the stimulus instituted by Bush, wasn't big enough...and his poor judgments and bad decisions came to bear, in Obama's first year (fiscal year) in office. Coupled with the non-cooperation on any front by the Republican Congress compounded the problems, and drove up unemployment and the deficit. You don't curtail spending in a recession. Per Krugman and Reich.

a trillion dollar stimulus is curtailing spending?

Given the deep doo doo we were in , it wasn't big enough. What about providing jobs rebuilding the infrastructure, putting people back to work and repairing our frayed foundations?
Better yet, where is the Repub plan?

that a nebulous and speculative statement. it would only be large enough if.....this and that. it is simply amazing to me that a trillion dollars is not enough. it could have been enough IF obama would have been on the ball. instead, there were no shovel ready jobs. something he went around the entire country touting. there was actually a point where i almost believed him and that the stimulus would work. i was opposed to it from the beginning, same with tarp, though appears i was wrong on tarp, but when i started seeing all the signs on the roads/highways/etc where i live and travel, i thought, well, maybe this will work, because infrastructure work does help america.

so, how long do you think you can get away with saying "It's Bush's fault"......seems to me that 2010, the voters had already decided it was too long.....

Not even. 2010 had nothing to do with whose fault. 2010 was about backlash for Obama's winning the presidency.

2 years of super majorities negate that excuse. It is utter rubbish. He's had a blank check, been given all the stimulus he asked for, made promises based on that. I can't wait for the ads. Show him promoting the business he spent our money on, then show the bankruptcy of the same business... Over and over again. The attempt to make everybody look the other way to total control of the congress and the white house will not be successful, it's too easy to remind people that this guy is so inept at economics he cannot even get his own party to vote for his own budgets.

as dune would say -- such an "intellegent" reply
