Should parents lose custody of super obese kids?

I recall a certain poster who quit the board in shame a while back posting a picture of his two boys and they were real fat. He commented on what great kids they were. I'm sure if you ask him he'd respond that they are normal moral healthy and natural. Wouldn't you agree?

And those kids were super obese? Or are you just out of things to add to the discussion and falling back onyour old standby of personal attacks?

No, and that is not the issue here. This is not about every child, any more than a child being beaten to the point of requiring hospitalization is the same as kids getting spanked.

I agree that child services is not the answer. That said, anyone who has seen the health horrors someone who was severely obese as a child goes through over the course of their lives will also recognize that allowing kids to become obese is child abuse.

Any parent who says the above should be taken out back and given the old yeller treatment. There is NOTHING that is normal, moral, healthy or natural about a 400 pound 12 year old.

That is child abuse, nothing less.

SF, I am the parent he is talking about. I posted a pic of myself and my kids back when I was on as Solitary. Someone asked to see my kids. Since then, SM has continued to post personal attacks about my kids and their weight. I assure you that my kids are healthy as hell.
 
I'd call them obese, yet the father called them normal and healthy. Its not a stretch that a dad with super obese kids would say the same thing.

Did you read the article? a 12 year old who weighed 400 lbs and had serious health issues because of her weight?

If you claim that is anywhere near what you you saw in the pic of my kids, you are either lying or delusional. But it is still off the topic.

The topic is about super obese kids.

That's the way parents are these days. Little Johnny can do no wrong, and is perfect in every way.
