another typical partisan hypocrite whine from onceler...who never said boo about obama asking people to tighten their belts etc...while he did not tighten his

obama doing same = good

Reading issues, again. Where did I ever say Obama doing the same was "good"? And I'm criticizing the OP, btw.

Like I said, I have no problem with people spending their own money, at any time. If they're rich, I would encourage them to spend lavishly.

I'm about the most pro corp guy here and I think hedge fund managers should be taxed as ordinary income.

Bottom line, ALL income should be taxed in the same manner. Whether it is from dividends, capital gains or wages. Eliminate the corporate tax and tax these three the same and you have a greatly simplified tax code, no hidden consumer taxes (which is what corp taxes are), no deductions or loopholes for the wealthy, no subsidies for ANY industry, no shenanigans by the hedge fund managers etc...

for an example of how eliminating corporate tax helps cities/governments.....see calgary

Did he ever even say that Americans should curtail spending? Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen answer on that...

because it would seem ludicrous if he really asked Americans to curtail their spending

^ why?

I said, dumbo - because we're a consumer-driven economy. You don't tell Americans to stop spending in a recession, period.

But I don't think he really said that, which is why I've asked the question a couple of times. The OP is a red herring.

That's why I'm asking the question, fool. I was waiting for an answer, because it would seem ludicrous if he really asked Americans to curtail their spending, and I have no problem with people spending their own money on anything, at any time.
Well, there you go.....we agree.....its none of our business how a citizen spends his money.....we don't worry about how Pelosi or John Kerry or Jay Rockefeller spends his dimes...we don't harp on how many homes or jets Kerry and his wife own or how many millions Pelosi made as a public servant, ..why single out Ryan....

Its none of our business who he dines with either, or what the fuck he orders for dinner or dessert....

and as for some idiot actually thinking there is a difference between "the governments money" and "the taxpayers money" ?....Only an asshole moron thinks the government has money that didn't come from the taxpayer in one way or another.....its ALL the taxpayers money.

How about that? Bravo gets it, but Yurt & Damo don't. Always so quick to assume that I'm jumping on the "slam the rightie" bandwagon.

I'm not a hack like you guys. Stop projecting so much.

Great...I hope we find common ground in other matters and on other issues too.....

No that would be Obama lecturing American's about tightening their belts and how they should buy their peas-while he and his wife enjoy travel; golf; dinner parties; dates to NYC etc...you know the proverbial attitude of "let them eat cake" out of touch elitist talk.

how dumb you are....obama DID SAY THAT...yet you never had a problem with him saying that

like i said, typical hypocritical partisan hackery on your part....

oh no....ID gets it as well....what is onceler going to do now

And you know this...how again? Fact is, I had a problem when Obama said it, as well, and said so.

It's so funny how you guys project your hackery.

As for my being a "hack" here - just a reminder: I'm criticizing the OP, because I'm fairly certain the guy never said that. You always slam me for not taking legion to task, but when I do, I'm still a big "hack."

So predictable....

Nice strawman. Nobody says citizens cannot spend their own money. Somebody definitely says elected officials can't have citizens' money spent on them.

The telling thing is that Ryan denied knowing the price of the wine that he - according to you - ordered and intended to pay for all along.

I particularly admire the way you blithely ignore the fact that a sitting Congressman was apparently being expensively feted by a hedge fund manager until an outraged citizen called him on it.

Again, your own story says that he spent his own money on his meal. Even you can understand that part. He drank a glass of wine and paid for a bottle. Even though he would only have to pay for one glass to follow the rules.

And, as I said, so long as he pays for his own stuff I couldn't care less who he was having dinner with any more than I would care that some D congressperson had dinner with a Labor Union Rep if they paid for their own dinner.

It's a stupid nothing story that attempts to show a hypocrisy that doesn't exist and tries to create more "class warfare" idiocy because we should be jealous that he can afford expensive stuff. I don't give a rip, nor do you. It's just a stupid attempt at "gotcha" politics that is overflowing with phail.
