Yeah? And what about when Mexico sends their military up to take over America because we lack a military to defend ourselves? That's kind of a severe price to pay for reducing the amount of the deficit for one year by half. You still haven't come up with the other $600 billion we need to balance the budget for the year... what else are we going to do away with besides our military?

It's not a scare tactic, what do you think will happen if we dismantle our military? You think Mexico is going to just sit there and starve to death?

As for Social Security, it doesn't matter what you do with it, since SS payouts are not covered in the general budget, and aren't part of the budget deficit. See, there is a thing called the Social Security Trust Fund... AlGore wanted to put it in a "lockbox" but the problem is, it's full of IOUs. In order to "privatize" it, you need to find about $50 trillion to pay the liabilities off... what do you want to cut in order to do that?

Incidentally, back to the budget deficit for fiscal year 2011... you've dismantled our military and found half the money you need to settle the shortfall... I am still waiting to hear how you will raise the other half of the money? Taxing corporate jets doesn't get us there.... just saying.
