Where'd you get the idea I don't want you to answer?
Possibly from the fact that you tell me "don't worry about it". Now, are you going to answer the question?
Do you, Rootbeer, believe that rights come from government?
Where'd you get the idea I don't want you to answer?
I'm asking you.
Once again, you would have to ask someone else. As I said, I don't know anyone like that.

Are you familiar with SmarterThanYou?
Yes I am. Are you claiming that STY's fondness for guns is rooted in preparations to overthrow Obama?
Is that what he says?
You tell me. You are the one that said "You mean the righties who base their gunlove on hoarding arms and ammo in preparation for overthrowing Obama are wrong?", and when I said I didn't know anyone like that you kept trying to bring STY into the convo. You asked a question of a certain type of person, and I simply said I couldn't answer that and didn't know anyone like that.
Yet you are familiar with STY. Are you unfamiliar with his ethos?
I know him from here, and I am familiar with his distrust of authority. But he does not fit the person you described. Do you know anyone that does? And have we stopped talking about the 2nd Amendment altogether?
Have we?
You keep bring up STY. But you always stop short of actually saying he fits the description you gave. Do you know anyone who fits that description?
Do I?
"We hold these truths to be self-evident," the U.S. Declaration of Independence proclaims, "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights."
There are several problems with this line of reasoning.
First, it's very difficult to find passages in the Bible and other sacred texts that describe unalienable political rights.
Second, an argument on religious grounds is unconvincing.

I never said it was based biblical writings. These are rights granted to every living person. We in the USA just made sure we all get to keep them...
our Creator...
whatever force that created human beings ...
God entitled them..."
So these rights can come from nature, nature's God, our Creator, ect ect.
Nope, no Biblical references here.
