They bully a whistle blower and call her a coward. She says the public deserves police who arent criminals.

Wall of blue FTW!!

If you trust the police, you are an idiot! What more proof do you need that there is a culture of corruption in police stations? Here's a cop who tried to report some corruption and she found out the cops are criminal gang. She gave up her job because she feared they would not back her up. She determined she was not safe working with these criminals. Smart move!! Those scumbags would have made sure she met a bullet, no doubt.

Heros in blue FTW

Pima County....wall of blue.....circling wagons and sealing all evidence in their plot to murder.

http://azstarnet.com/news/local/article_47d3b9b2-8345-11e0-a48d-001cc4c03286.html

Could Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik have bungled the explanation for this shooting any worse? His department first said Guerena fired at the SWAT officers. Then it said he didn't. The officers now say he raised his gun with the safety on and pointed it at them. Since the correction, Dupnik has refused to comment on what went down.

"I have to do what I think is right to protect the case to ensure that it has the opportunity to progress where we think it should go," he told me Friday, explaining his silence.

translation: we haven't come up with a plausible theory to explain how we murdered this guy and not put our nuts in a grinder.

Meanwhile, the Pima County Attorney's Office is investigating the shooting. And a shooting board, made up of commanders from the various agencies involved with the SWAT incident, is also investigating.

cops investigating the actions of other cops. this will end well.

Besides the wall of silence, court documents and the search warrant for the home have been sealed. The Star plans to sue for those records.

Dupnik said opening up those documents would put someone's life at risk. An informant? Presumably, but he wouldn't say.
of course he wouldn't say, but lets always use the 'grave danger' reason to help bolster our case for silence.

"I don't know when they are going to be unsealed, if ever," he said. "Those are the real sensitive parts of why we are having difficulty with trying to put information out publicly - because we don't want to get somebody killed."
while they judge shop for one that will help them kill the investigation.

Among other things, Storie(attorney for SWAT officers) said Guerena raised his AR-15 rifle and said, "I have something for you. I have something for you guys."
how in the world could they possibly have heard him say something IF, I say IF, they were announcing themselves as police officers as they busted down the door to his home. all of that noise surely should have drowned out anything guerena could have said, as well as firing off 71 rounds in 7 seconds.

Storie - no surprise here - sees this as "a clear-cut case" on the shooting and on Guerena.

The guns, the law enforcement clothing, the portrait and the body armor make a nifty equation.

"Put it together, and when you have drug rip-offs that occasionally happen where people disguise themselves as law enforcement officers, it all adds up," he said.

Guerena's alleged gun threat left officers with "no choice" but to shoot.

So, while they are all tight lipped about all the officers actions, policies, procedures, and 'lawful' actions taken in this questionable raid, they are free to trot out a bullshit theory designed to completely discredit a former combat marine who served his country with honor. what morality, what ethics, what (puke) honorable law enforcement officers.

I guess it makes me retarded to expose the news. You bootlickers are idiots. No wonder you'll put up with the same sort of police state we fought two wars to stop.

NAH, you were probably already retarded. It's idiots like you, that act like they are the holders of everything that should be seen as true, that makes posters want to ignore you.

What a stupid attempt at an insult. I guess you think everything I post is some conspiracy. Who's the tard here? You are

http://miami.cbslocal.com/2011/05/27/i-team-police-video-shows-possible-abuse/

guy gets slammed by the cop and requires 12 stitches. The use of force report says that the 'suspect' refused to put his hands on the counter 4 to 6 times (report conveniently neglects to report that he was still HANDCUFFED behind his back), then report says he lunged at the officer. The VIDEO shows no such lunge, but the police chief and states attorney says they see it on the video. no criminal intent on the part of the officer.

"Guerena's alleged gun threat left officers with "no choice" but to shoot.

"They are faced with a weapon pointed at them. What other choice do they have?"

When the dust settles, Dupnik said, "You will see that we are not hiding anything."

But he's already undermined that. A man was shot 60 times in his own home, and we still don't know why." (End)

Shot 60 times. Definitely a case of "overkill".

no protectionism here, is there?

http://www.seattlepi.com/local/article/City-told-to-stop-releasing-names-of-Seattle-cops-1396008.php

City of Seattle workers have been ordered to stop releasing the names of Seattle police officers in public disclosure requests – including officers who have sustained complaints.

In Jan. 2008, the Mayor's police accountability review panel recommended records of all sustained complaints should be made public in a format designed to protect the privacy of officers and complainants.

Later that year, the guild and the city agreed that officers' personal identifying information be redacted from records released and when the department released names of officers in public disclosure requests in spring 2009, the police union objected.

The guild filed a grievance. On Tuesday, an arbitrator ordered the city to immediately begin redacting the names and serial numbers from all documents released.

why would fine upstanding police officers worry about the bad apples being held accountable?

It's obvious that you are completely unaware that Officers are taught that when they fire, they are to continue firing until they are out of ammo or recieve the order to stop.

Let's say that there were 5 Officers and they each had a firearm that held 14 shots.
What would be an appropriate number that you feel each Officer should fire, before stopping.
By the way; most semi-automatic handguns can fire 14 shots, in under 10 seconds.
