Al-Awlaki targeted by U.S. military drone in Yemen

(CNN) -- A U.S. military drone fired a missile within the last two days in Yemen aimed at the U.S.-born radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, but the strike did not appear to have killed him, a U.S. official told CNN on Friday.

I remember when Obama created a frenzy by declaring his citizenship void and his status a target for a miltary hit. It appears he was hoping to use good will from the public over the death of the Big O to knock off Awlaki with minimized blowback. Oh, well...
 
We're only watching....if Awlaki reaches for a weapon, the drone will arrest him....:)
 
So when a drone strike kills inocent victems as well as the intended target, those who die without due process, without a trial and a death sentence, so called collateral damage but not geneocide right?

Again, is this your idea of a debate? As far as I know, idiot is somewhat of an insult, as is bitch and delusional.

That would not be genocide.

there is nothing to debate...i've been over this with you before and you stubbornly insist something is genocide when it is not. you were given the definition, by not just me, but half a dozen other posters....and you still maintained something was genocide. i don't recall seeing a single debate from you. what you do is, come marching into threads, attack or insult, and then give conclusory statements and accept no other opinion or fact if it goes against your beliefs. the genocide "debate" is a perfect example...that you brought it up in this thread shows you're an idiot.

According to a dictionary of law there are specifics to murder that this wouldn't cover either (hence the incapacity of courts to try them), however other definitions might fit it, and not all deaths in wartime are "not murder" (there are times that even soldiers can be tried for murder that would fit even the legal definition).

You would be at least on stronger footing than you are with "genocide", because there is no way it could be construed as fitting that definition in any fashion. Words mean things, this attempt at emotional hyperbole has been ferreted out.
