Osama Bin Laden DEAD!

You have a good point, I find it interesting that these two men are giving conflicting information that does not support there positions, I respect honesty over agenda.

There is no conflicting information between Panetta and Rummy. You just totally misconstrued something Rummy said, and he has clarified it.

Rummy said that info on OBL wasn't obtained through waterboarding KSM at Gitmo.... THAT'S ALL YOU HEARD.... but he completed the thought... Because we never waterboarded KSM at Gitmo, we never waterboarded ANYONE at Gitmo! He did an extensive interview with Hannity last night, where he clarified this, and reiterated that he never said what you claim he said, in contradiction to Panetta. He went on to say it's just "factually inaccurate" to say the enhanced interrogation of KSM played no role in leading to the information which ultimately gave us OBL.

If you support honesty over agenda, then you should admit you are wrong on this, and accept that fact that Bush's interrogation policies are responsible for leading us to OBL. That's not hard to do, you have the CIA Director and the former Defense Secretary both telling you that is the case.

The only reason I was ever for closing Gitmo was because of the bad name it had incured as a result of Bush Administration policies. I was never opposed to building a camp that was exactly the same as GITMO with a different name. What matters to me is not the location as the actions taking place in the location.

What "actions" are taking place in Gitmo?

IF thats what he intended to say, why did he not say it?

THat came out after Dixie and I had started argueing, later information gives credence to Dixie's story, until then it was made up. Just because it turned out to be true, he had no evidence when he made it up.

LMFAO.... This is priceless! So things are "made up" until YOU happen to catch up with the rest of the world and hear about it?

IF thats what he intended to say, why did he not say it?

It's not what he "intended" to say, it's EXACTLY what he said! You took PART of what he said, and ran with it!

Waterboarding of KSM at Gitmo didn't lead to OBL...... (that's what you ran with)
Because we never waterboarded KSM at Gitmo, or anyone else, for that matter... waterboarding wasn't done at Gitmo! (the part you ignored!)

This is not the same as saying that waterboarding KSM didn't lead to information which ultimately led to OBL. Two entirely different points. Rummy clarified his remarks last night, so I guess we can expect you to pick up on that sometime later this week?

It’s taken not one, but two high-level Obama administration officials to beat back patently bizarre comments this week from Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.

Appearing before a congressional panel on Tuesday, Holder was asked how the government planned to handle Osama bin Laden, should the al-Qaeda leader ever be captured. Would Holder favor a federal court trial? A military commission, perhaps? Holder’s answer: A body bag.

Bin Laden “will never appear in an American courtroom,” Holder said, according to The Post’s Carrie Johnson. “Let’s deal with the reality here. The reality is we will be reading Miranda rights to a corpse.” Holder said he was being “flippant” but added that bin Laden “will be killed by us or by his own people.”

Holder has been under fire by the right for being soft on terrorists, in part by arguing -- reasonably, might I add -- that some terrorism suspects would be best prosecuted in federal court. I can’t explain this misplaced and frankly gross bravado as anything but overcompensation for the political beatings of late. It also could suggest that Holder truly has no plan for how bin Laden should be handled. Or maybe he’s never thought about the possibility.

That’s apparently not the case with two other high-ranking Obama officials, who were obviously trotted out to counter Holder’s assertion. Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan seemed genuinely puzzled when asked if his troops had had given up on capturing bin Laden alive. “Wow. No,” he said. And CIA Director Leon Panetta asserted that bin Laden would be taken to a military base and interrogated by U.S. agents.

Holder is under incredible, round-the-clock pressure -- primarily to avert another devastating terrorist attack. The hostile reception he got on Capitol Hill on Tuesday from some Republicans and the insinuation that he is somehow coddling terrorists must be infuriating. But he didn’t do himself or his cause any favors by going to the opposite extreme and adopting the gun-toting, “we’re smokin’ them out” cowboy persona most associated with our immediate past president.

Well, that's a nice waste of money...

most liberals have embarrassingly backed off the gitmo closing issue...i was never for closing it.

it is up to YOU to prove that liberals were opposed to any and all techniques...YOU made the claim, YOU back it up. real simple dixie.

Most liberals?

I never backed off from wanting it closed. It's one of the things I'm holding against Obama.

Yeah, this is one of those "I told you so moments."

Remember back during the Democratic primary debates, when the media slammed then-candidate Obama for being "naive" in his approach to foreign policy and terrorism, particularly in regards to Pakistan.

I went back through the vaults and found Obama's statements on Pakistan and Bin Laden.

From the November 7, 2007 Barack Oblogger post "Obama Right About Pakistan"

Commentary: Who needs friends like Musharraf?

By Ruben Navarrette Jr.
Special to CNN

SAN DIEGO, California (CNN) -- This week, like a lot of Americans, I have Pakistan on my mind -- again.

The last time was in August when that country made a cameo appearance in the 2008 presidential campaign. When Sen. Barack Obama suggested getting out of Iraq and moving "onto the right battlefield in Afghanistan and Pakistan," and then pledged, if elected president, to go into Pakistan if our military was in hot pursuit of "high-value terrorist targets" (read: Osama bin Laden), his opponents pounced.

Rudy Giuliani suggested that Obama should be more accommodating of Pakistan's president, Gen. Pervez Musharraf. Mitt Romney said that Obama was "confused as to who are our friends and who are our enemies." Sen. John McCain called Obama's remarks "kind of typical of his naivete." And Sen. Hillary Clinton said that Obama's foreign policy views were "irresponsible and frankly naive."

And another piece by Clarence Page about Obama and Pakistan written in August 2007:

OBAMA'S INTERNATIONAL MELODRAMA

Senator, though right, takes flak from all sides
Clarence Page, August 12, 2007

Leave it to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) to stir up an international incident by acknowledging something everyone already knew.

Obama's bombshell: If the Obama administration knows Osama bin Laden is in Pakistan and President Pervez Musharraf doesn't act to take him out, President Obama will. Obama's rivals in the race for the White House pounced, calling his stance naive and a sign of his lack of foreign policy experience. They didn't disagree with the policy. They didn't like the way he said it.

It probably wasn't a surprise to those in the highest levels of government that Osama Bin Laden was in Pakistan, but it took President Obama to complete the job that others could not.

i understand....obama has a D after his name

667. Bin Laden's death is another trick (5/2/2011)

When people chanting for the news of Bin Laden's death, I have a sad feeling how ignorant people are cheated by this government. I also worry we may face a big "terror attack" planned by this government.

1. Since 911, I don't believe this government anymore. It is hijacked by a group of insiders. If they can cheat people with 911 such a big attack, what else can't they do? For those who insist to tarnish 911 truthers, one thing they can't deny is the "WMD" lie which justified war on Iraq. That's a big lie because it caused large civilian's casualty. Yet, that lie was neglected. The lier was awarded a second term of President because the inside group wants another war - Iran war. Bin Laden's death is only another soap opera - same like the death of Al Zarqawi. (so said Iraq Al Qaida)

2. There is a strategy purpose of Bin Laden's death - to justify a coming dirty bomb attack. The intelligence always arrange "provocative actions" to make the false flag terror attack reasonable. That was what we saw a month ago the "Quran burning" in Florida and the "veil ban" law passed in French. "Bin Laden's death" is a big one they push out today which indicates a big terror attack is going to happen recently.

3.It's a continuation of a series "nuclear crisis (bombing)" attempt since later last year. (see my posts from #651) You may verify it from rare report news. (not from US media)

GORDON DUFF: NYC DIRTY BOMB “DRILL” – LARGEST IN NATIONAL HISTORY…IS IT A DRILL?

CENSORED TERROR “DRILL” MOST COSTLY IN HISTORY
“More checkpoints per square mile than Baghdad”
By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

Busloads of police were brought into New York, some from distant communities. The national press, generously called the “mainstream media” reported none of this today. There was a defacto news blackout about the scale and nature of what is happening in New York City today.
............

The story in New York is that the city is testing its capability of detecting a “dirty bomb” or other “radiological device.” At a time when most municipalities are flat broke, busted, New York is spending an unprecedented amount, in what is said to be a drill. The city is hunting four “imaginary terror groups.”

US tornadoes force shutdown of two nuclear reactors in Virginia

Ewen MacAskill in Washington
guardian.co.uk, Monday 18 April 2011

A US nuclear power company has disclosed that one of the tornadoes that hit the US at the weekend, killing at least 45 people and causing widespread damage, forced the shutdown of two of its reactors.

The series of tornadoes that began in Oklahoma late last week barrelled across the country, with North Carolina, where 22 people died, the worst-hit state.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/apr/18/us-tornadoes-shutdown-nuclear-reactors

Nine days later, on 4/27 there was an unprecedentary tornado storms attacked East side of America. Scientists suggested "some of the tonadoes may have been among the largest and most powerful ever recorded. " "2011 Tornado Outbreak Death Toll Hits 337, Second-Deadliest Day From Twister In U.S. History".

On 3/11, Japan suffered an earthquake biggerst ever in its history. On 4/27, US suffered a largest and most powerful ever recorded tonado storms. When both failed to produce a nuclear pollution crisis in US, the Feds activates Bin Laden. Beware of a coming "nuclear bomb attack". (Or dirty bomb attack)

"Typical canned response" is such hilarious projection from you...

it is amazing you can't see the irony of this statement...and really...it isn't a canned response like your typical -- you can't read, you're in over your head -- because mine is a statement, not a canned response, it is tailored to a specific event and situation, whereas your usual ad homs are said to everyone you don't agree with when you start losing....hence why they are canned

Ah, bull. You say the same 3 things over & over & over again. It doesn't matter how you say them - they're the same.

"Where is the left's outrage now?" LOL....such a hypocrite....

good lord...you're a broken record and it is simply not true. you never call out yourself for doing the same thing, nor do you call christie (i'm sure others as well, zappa for starters) out for doing it more than i do. you're just a bitter guy that hasn't grown up. you say the same things all the time. over and over and over. and i am not surprised all you have to say is the same thing back to me that i said to you earlier today. you're not original. you just project and deflect and you won't stop. ever. lying is your first nature.

you're incapable of having a rational conversation with most people on the right...you sometimes start off good....but then ignore the points they agree with you on and just hack the rest.

"you never call yourself out" - man, that is some serious psychosis.

Like I always say, you should get it checked, Yurtsie. It's an issue....

"Typical canned response" is such hilarious projection from you...
Instead of this irrelevant bullshit response to Yurt, why not address his claims in an adult manner and rebut what he says issue by issue ?

I already know you can't do that, because Yurt is absolutely right....in every detail....

GITMO IS OPEN AND IT NO LONGER MATTERS TO LIBERALS, LEFTIES, DEMOCRATS and PINHEADS......because the President is now a Democrat....

You haven't been paying much attention to the left, have you bravs?

And you really don't have any business calling out what people should & shouldn't address here. At least within the context of this board, you're a wuss when it comes to standing by what you say, and addressing real topics...
