I'm starting to change my mind on Trump!

Shifting responsibility to Iraq is different than attempting to saddle them with debts they can't pay. It is Trump who is naive, not I. I am being a realist. Even if we did try to do it, we'd never get the money, and we'd cause the Iraqi government to fall apart.

Do you think you'd ever be able to pay off a million dollars of debt?

France pressed Germany for reparations after the first world war and that went well, causing the rise of Hitler.

I think Trump makes a profoundly brilliant point.... IF the United States is going to deploy US forces, put US lives at risk, at cost to US taxpayers, for vital US interests... we don't need to do it in the stupid and ridiculous way in which we have... We need to do it in a way beneficial to us, and make it worth the effort in some meaningful and bountiful way. I get that point, I can relate to what he is saying, and I agree with him. If we are going in over there, go in strong and take no prisoners, take the shit that means the most to everyone here, and stop beating around the bush about it... just fucking do it, and then you control the whole situation, you can dictate whatever terms you want... the art of the deal, as it were.

There's not a great deal of profit to be made in Iraq. Invading other countries isn't a profitable endeavor in the modern world, and it shouldn't be made to be.

Interestingly, Germany just finished paying off its WWI debt a few months ago. And 1.5 trillion is, I believe, a bigger figure compared to their economy than the Treaty of Versailles imposed on Germany.

And he's proposing that we impose it on a friendly nation.

It is profitable, for all the corporations who get to go in and set up shop, while the taxpayer is stuck with the bill for opening the market. It's very profitable for some.

He's proposing it be imposed on a nation that can pay it and he was not the first to suggest it...ummm since when did Germany have a resource that equaled 15 trillion?

Ha! Many more Americans belive that Trump would make a poor or terrible president than believe Obama was not born in the USA...!

Not really. Germany made the decision to wreck its currency and credit by deliberately defaulting on its debts as a way of protesting reparations. Through 1921, Germany's economy had actually remained strong. From France's perspective, only by reparations would WWI look like an allied victory, because France and Britain were both hugely in debt (mostly to the US) while Germany had been self-sufficient and had produced everything for itself.

Okay, I am starting to see the light with Trump for 2012. I believe he is going to run, he sounds very serious and passionate about doing this, and he is knocking it out of the park in the polling... He is actually someone with some BACKBONE... Instead of the politics as usual crew.

Listening to his interview with Greta, he makes it clear, he is no-nonsense... He is fed up with this shit going on in Washington, and ready to do something about it. I like that. I like the idea of sending a LEADER to Washington, someone who is capable of the leadership as well as the decision making which puts America FIRST again.

He should appeal to AssClown on his China policy... he thinks China is screwing us, and he'll stop that. He also thinks we're pussies when it comes to these wars we're fighting in the middle east, he said he'll go over there and seize the oil wells, to hell with this spending money and lives and leaving! I agree... let's kick their ass and take their damn oil, then tell them how things are going to be. That's what we should've done 30 years ago!!!

Trump is going to set the political world on its ear, and Obama? He's not going to know how to deal with Trump... how do you play politics with a guy who doesn't know or care how politics work, he's just going to beat your socks off as a populist? I mean, Dear God... I would hate to be a Liberal right now.

Oh, Id say President Obama knew how to deal with Trump pretty well!

Did Trump not say a week or so ago that his investigators determined that the BC had been lost?

Oh, Id say President Obama knew how to deal with Trump pretty well!

Yeah, he CAPITULATED to Trump after everyone in America couldn't get him to do so the past FOUR years!

It's just amazing how you pinheads are spinning this into some kind of "win" for Obama. I see it as just the opposite, he caved... buckled under the pressure of The Donald! Only in Pinheadville, could this be seen as a "win" for Obama. And then there is the fact that his actual BC shows nothing embarrassing, nothing he would want to avoid disclosing, just your typical run of the mill birth certificate... no big deal! In Obama's OWN WORDS, this episode is bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country, but was it not bad and a distraction for the past 4 years? Did this just suddenly up and become a distraction? So basically, Obama chose to take an action he admits was bad for the country and a distraction, for four years... until Trump finally forced him to show us the damn birth certificate, and there is absolutely NOTHING on it to warrant Obama refusing to release it.... and you think that is a "win" for Obama? HA! In your dreams, pinheads! In your dreams!

Oh, Dix? In case you didn't realize, Trump's candidacy - for whatever it was worth - ended today...

I wouldn't be so sure. Up next, "Obama is the Affirmative Action president." Trump already laid the groundwork for it and there is a certain segment of the Republican primary voting population it will appeal to .

trump looks silly on this..and to take all the credit is plain dumb...trump's statements on this have shown him to be a tinfoil hat candidate....and it has hurt his show...this will not end well fro trump....he will lose more than his reputation
