"A Utah politician wants to formally redefine "sex" as something that occurs between a man and a woman who are married to each other in the Salt Lake County Republican Party platform. According to Examiner,

They also have a delegate who wants it made clear that sex is only acceptable when it takes place between a married man and woman. David Baxter wants the party platform to include that the "God-given sexual power is to be used only between a husband and wife." He believes this will rule out any possibility of adultery, sodomy or fornication."

LMAO! Oh yeah, that is just what we need.

Interesting people.

Although i am secretly hopeful that this gentleman will quickly harness his 'God-given sexual power' to foil bank robberies, kidnappings and suchlike.

You have unwittingly exposed the 'pro-life' doctrinaire.

Yes, and elect Democrats who don't want your kids to play tag or wiffle ball or have a happy meal with a toy.

Libertarians please step to the front of the line!

Democrats want to ban wiffle ball and tag? Do you have a cite for this?

Yes, there was a big thread on it last week. A Democratic lawmaker in New York tried to declare those games were "dangerous to kids". They were ridiculed enough (as should this Republican be in Utah) that they pulled the proposed legislation a couple of days later.

So, no bill was proposed that would have banned any game, am I correct?

Listen, lets deal with FACTS, not internet rumors that people belive are true simply because the radical wing of the Republican party says so!

I technically mispoke when I used the word banned. They would have redefined the games as dangerous to kids. However if the government is going to go so far as to call tag and wiffle dangerous to kids it might as well be a ban.

Here is the follow up article where the proposal was pulled. So that is a FACT, not an internet rumor. And I not sure what the radical wing of the Republican Party has to do with any of this.

The bill simply called for more safety measures be undertaken when kids are playing games that result in a high number of injuries.

I am not defending the bill, I am simply pointing out that its not what you wanted to pretend it was.

Sorta like the President's birth certificate issue!

Actually I agree. When I was young me and the other kids at school realized running and touching someone else was causing a lot of injuries. Being the progressive Californian's we are we decided to not only self ban tag we agreed running was dangerous as well. We students instituted a walking only area on the school playground.

Same with wiffle ball. We had a rash of Tommy John injuries to pitchers. And I'll admit I would get pissed when someone would get a hit off of me. I would throw at their head next time. We had multiple skull fractures as a result. So we pretty much quit playing wiffle ball as well.
