Reality

Fuck you, I grew up in a family of five living on $50k annual in the Seattle area. I was more than comforable growing up, and learned to live without many accessories which my friends all took for granted. I generally hung out at my friends houses rather than at my own, and found ways to experience the information age outside of my residence. I was raised on old time radio and book reading. I'm one of the only members of my generation who can sit down and talk about the golden age of radio.

You are so out of touch that it does go aways towards explaining your extreme beleifs.

The average income in Mass is 50K . The average in Rhode Island is 31K. Someone making 5-8 times the average income is not middle class, and is indeed "rich". The left is not trying to punish them, or any one else. What we are trying to do is prevent oligarchy.

I'm not buying it. Judging by your daily attacks on the wealthy, it is obvious that you have a personal dislike for them. You're jealous because you're either not clever enough or hard-working enough to achieve what they have achieved.

I have several friends who make above $250K and they are not rich, especially after 40 - 50% of their income is consumed by Federal, State, and local taxes. Raising taxes on these individuals is guaranteed to kill jobs. At some point, many will decide that it is simply not worth running a business, and they will close their doors and work for someone else. This is the conclusion that I reached rather quickly when I started an IT company a few years ago.

Like all Marxists, you are an economic illiterate.

I'm fine with raising taxes on people who make over 5 or 10 million per year. I don't believe it will hurt them, and it will be necessary to balance the budget. I do not favor punishing middle-class business owners for their success. Your bigotry toward those who have more than you is disgusting and unamerican.

I'm fucking tired of people claiming that some people make "too much" or don't contribute their "fair share." Neither of those terms have any realistic meaning to them. I personally think a guy with two Porche's in his garage has one too many, but I can't even afford one anyway.

A family living on $250k annual is not rich. Certainly, a single man or woman on the same income is more comfortable, but still not rich. If the left continues to sail this talking point, we will have no other choice but to assume, in addition to being radical and illiberal, that you lot are also retarded, as well.

really?....a family with $250k income is in the top 10% of wage earners......how "rich" do you need to be, to be "rich"?.......the problem is, people don't realize that they are the people the left hates......

even if you put half the people in the country in the "middle" class, one quarter in "lower" and one quarter in "upper" you have to get down around $75k a year to not be "upper" class.....

too few union members realize they are the "rich" that the left thinks aren't paying their fair share.....

Holden, who are you to decide what "enough" is?

When did I say what enough is?

Face it oh paragon of economic wisdom, trickle down didn't work, doesn't work, but that is what you argue to perpetuate.

I don't hate rich people. I have a problem with souless corperations and greedy rich who would become richer by taking from the poor. I have built wealth without making others poorer.

People here in the Bay Area use the term HENRy. High Earner Not Rich. When the medium home price is $700k and you have a couple of kids you find you often don't have a whole lot left ay the end of the month.
