At what cost do we sacrifice the environment? I am sure the horse breeders and buggy venders were not happy to see the advent of the auto industry. The business of today can adapt and should adapt as did those breeders and the buggy industry.

The entire green movement was based around flawed science related to "global warming". No one is suggesting that we abandon being responsible towards waste or use-only that the whole carbon hype is only costing economies and is not causing global warming.

I think what should happen is the industry of today stop whining and make the changes required to protect the environment as the industry in the past changed to meet the needs of a changing world. The problem is that in the past they gave up a green way of life to bring on the world of pollution and environmental damage. These industries need to change to heal that world before we all are in harms way.

Global warming is true. The flaw may come in why it is coming on. The question is how much damage and we do know it is damage do we want to allow upon the environment. How many oil spills and nuclear incidents and plastic bottles have to hamper the environment before we have done very serious damage. What is happening to the oceans. What happens to the air we breath. You would like to let this go on so that your children's children need to wear masks over their mouths.

It sure has but do we need to continue to damage it. It is going through global warming and no one can say why. I already stated that much. The question is do you want to allow the people of the world to keep harming the environment. This is not about global warming it is about common sense. When there are fish that can't be eaten because of mercury. When bodies of water are filled with oil because of carelessness. When the levels of carbon effect our breathing isn't it time to stop. It is not about global warming at all. Would you like people to walk by your home and dump their waste in your front yard? Would you like them to change the oil on there car and dump the waste on your lawn? Would you like it if six cars with smokey exhausts sat around your house and revved their engines all day to affect your air quality? Of course not. o why is it okay to do this to everyone's world?

What changes and why? What proof that the changes are needed, whatever they are.

Recycle. Protect the water supplies from waste dumping. Eliminate pollutants going into the air as best we can. It is common sense to clean up after ones self. If you cut down a tree plant trees. Why would any of this be wrong?

Right now conservationism is not in question-but carbon fuels and offsets. Man caused global warming has not been proven "true". Did you read the article?

You are making this sound like i said that Global Warming was man made. I did not say that. I said we need to clean up the environment. My gosh they made laws to stop people from smoking in buildings and a lot of places outside and you think it's a good thing to be putting coal pollutants in the air?

i don't want anyone to harm the environment. the rest of your of post is really a strawman....and has nothing to do with warming. i don't dump trash on anyone's lawn, nor would i allow anyone to do the same to me. unfortunately, some things we do harm the environment. no human way of living on this planet can exist without harming the environment. go back to caveman living....there was harm there. go back 500 years ago...harm there.

this hype about warming might be overblown. take the last ice age....maybe warming is a good thing.

Right now green products are not the best. They need to be improved. Cars used to get 15 KPG now they get more. They have been improved as will other types of energy. I heated my house this year with wood. I scanned the article and it is true that winters have become really harsh and snowy. I just think that the companies of today need to co operate with the future and work toward environmentally sound products. Nothing is solved over night. The human race is about evolution of production and methods of production. Environmental cleanup is something to work toward not fight against.

I was expecting a thread about healthcare.

"Maybe warming is a good thing" has to be the line of the day. That's priceless.
