Obama's Close Friend Arrested During Prostitution Sting in Hawaii

HONOLULU -- One of President Obama's close friends from his native Hawaii is facing charges after being arrested during a prostitution sting in the state.

Robert Richard Titcomb, 49, allegedly solicited sex from an undercover police officer posing as a prostitute, Hawaii News Now reports. Titcomb was one of four arrested during the sting, Hawaii Police Department says.

Titcomb was released on $500 bail and will appear in court next month.

Obama and Titcomb have been close friends since high school, and the pair often get together to golf and dine when Obama vacations in the state, Hawaii News Now reports

THere was a time when making Prostitution illegal made sense, before womans lib. Women dont need protection anylonger, they are free to associate with who they want and are protected by the law from abuse or physical intiminidation. Women are free to enter other professions and have the oppertunity to attend school.

Prostitution should be legal, many things surrounding it should still be illegal.

You are not busting any bubbles, I am a feminist and I want it legal. I know many of my fellow feminists want it kept illegal.

I was just wondering how it came out he was Obama's friend. When they were arresting him, did he say "do you know who I am?" or "Barack Obama's one of my best friends and I'll have your jobs."

Good question. Has he been one of the people quoted about how great a friend Obama was? I wouldn't know an Obama friend from Moses.
