Stereotyping the Old South

Chucklet: I stated that congenitial (sic) racism permeates the Southern States.

Okay, I am going to ignore the rest of your irrelevant claptrap, and focus on this little gem. There is not a such thing as "congenital racism," whether it is applied to individuals or a state. The word "congenital" means you are born with it... to my knowledge, no state was ever formed as a "racist" state, and I happen to believe racism is something people learn, not something they are born with.

Racism in general, doesn't "permeate" the Southern states any more than it permeates California, New York, Detroit, Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Idaho, or anywhere else. Because racism doesn't have anything to do with what part of the country you live in or were born in. Your perspective is actually much more endemic of racist beliefs and bigoted stereotypes.

Translation: The Dixie Dunce got his ideological clocked cleaned in the previous post http://www.justplainpolitics.com/showthread.php?31785-Stereotyping-the-Old-South&p=796238#post796238 ....but being that he has neither the intellectual courage, honesty or ability to address the points of that post, our Dixie Dunce tries to mock/ridicule a figure of speech used to described the mindsets of many folk who grow up in certain regions of the country that have a history of slavery and racism...who are taught or who have learned to defend/excuse/justify those racist attitudes and actions as some warped sense of pride.

Like it or not, and despite their own individual history of bigotry and racism, California, New York, Detroit, Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Idaho were NOT part of the CONFEDERACY.....their economy was not conerstoned in slavery! Jim Crow laws were not their mainstay for a century. A matter of fact, a matter of history.

Again, fuck the Confederacy and all those who try to excuse/justify/minimalize/defend it's racist history....and that, as the chronology of the posts shows, means YOU my Dixie Dunce. Carry on.

....a figure of speech used to described the mindsets of many folk who grow up in certain regions of the country that have a history of slavery and racism...who are taught or who have learned to defend/excuse/justify those racist attitudes and actions as some warped sense of pride.

An incorrect figure of speech you should have avoided to keep from looking like the idiot you exposed yourself as. Since no one in the South who is alive, ever even knew a slave owner, I find it hard to believe they were "taught" or "learned" to be PRO slavery. Racism is present in every place across America, not just in the South. In fact, if you look at the history of racial turmoil, riots and violence due to racial tensions, it's never happening in those Southern states which you claim are so racist in their beliefs. It's always California, New York, Detroit, Boston, Cleveland & Cincinnati... places FAR removed from the old South. Why do you figure that is, Einstein? Maybe we lynch all the witnesses down here, so there is never any trouble? Is that what you think is happening? Because there has to be some rational explanation for why the Southern US is full of all these deplorable racists, yet we don't seem to have riots, protests, and marches anymore.

And yet, there are still racists and bigots in those states... proving you aren't BORN a racist, and you don't become a racist based on where you live. Idiot!

Again, it's not the South's fault their economy was 'cornerstoned' in slavery, if you're looking for someone to blame, how about the SCOTUS who ruled slaves were property? How about Congress who passed legislation to protect slavery for 85 years before the Civil War? How about the Founding Fathers who incorporated slavery into our Constitution as a legitimate practice to begin with? Yes sir, there is PLENTY of blame to go around, no need in dumping it all on the South.

Once again, our insipidly stubborn and intellectually deficient Dixie repeats all the disproven nonsense of his previous post. Since our Dixie Dunce does not understand what a "figure of speech" is, I'll enlighten him (yet again):

A Figure of Speech is where a word or words are used to create an effect, often where they do not have their original or literal meaning.

If someone says that they are 'starving', they do not mean that they are in fact dying of hunger, but that they are very hungry. This is a simple example of a figure of speech, where the word is used to heighten or increase the state that they are describing. A metaphor or a simile are two of the most common forms used.

As we have seen on this thread, you have various people STILL trying to defend/excuse/justify the Confederacy, history of slavery and Jim Crow laws in the Southern states. Our dumb Dixie's attempt to smokescreen this by making idiot moot points that no original slave owners are alive or that racism existed in other states was already deconstructed in the previous post. Like all intellectually bankrupt Confederate flunkies, Dixie just ignores what was logically and factually proven and repeats his failed Dixie dumb assertions in various ways ad nauseum.

And yet, there are still racists and bigots in those states...no shit sherlock, as I stated in a previous thread and never alluded otherwise! Our Dixie Dunce loves a moot point. proving you aren't BORN a racist, and you don't become a racist based on where you live. Idiot! Yes Dixie, you are...and proving it with every post. Again, as I previously demonstrated, our Dixie Dunce just rejects a simple diagram of the sentences that confuse his Dixie dumb brain...as I previously explained, saying something permeates a group or region is NOT the same that ALL who inhabit that group or region are affected. To accept this simple explanation would pull the rug from our Dixie Dunce's diatribes....such is the immaturity of our Dixie Dunce. http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sho...238#post796238

And once again, our Dixie Dunce repeats the tired and lame attempt to excuse the FACT that when it came time to end slavery, the Southern States resisted, treating slavery and it's inherent racism as a mere afterthough to "states rights", throughout the Civil War, the creation of the Confederacy and the century of Jim Crow that followed. They were BS artists...and history has made its' judgement. Fuck them and the assholes who are STILL trying to defend them....that means YOU, my Dixie Dunce. Now, be a good little Confederate Flag waver and repeat your Dixie dumb BS in another form.

Chucklehead: ...lame attempt to excuse the FACT that when it came time to end slavery, the Southern States resisted, treating slavery and it's inherent racism as a mere afterthough to "states rights", throughout the Civil War, the creation of the Confederacy and the century of Jim Crow that followed.

I haven't excused ANY fact, moron! When it "came time" to end slavery, was 3 years after the Civil War started, and Abe Lincoln needed a "cause" to revitalize a beleaguered and war-weary nation, because he was getting his butt kicked. Before then, it was time to trot out all kinds of ideas about what to do with the slaves... ship them off to some foreign place far away, seemed to be the prevailing idea of people like Lincoln.

And let's get something else straight, the FIRST "Jim Crow" laws were passed AFTER the Civil War had ended, and the Confederacy no longer existed! It's a fucking stretch to try and blame those on the CSA, since it was done by United States legislators, and United States courts and judges upheld it. The defeated South didn't MAKE you do it! Try to act like we have a little bit of intelligence here, dumbass.

A Figure of Speech is where a word or words are used to create an effect, often where they do not have their original or literal meaning.

So basically, EVERYTHING that you type here, is a "figure of speech" by your own definition. Just a bunch of shit that doesn't really mean what it says, because you are too intellectually dishonest to articulate legitimate points literally. Thank you for finally admitting you are totally full of shit, and we should assume everything you yammer is a "figure of speech" and not to be taken seriously.... quite a revelation.

As you can see folks, our Dixie Dunce is insipidly stubborn, so he pretends not to comprehend what has been posted or just ignores all previous information/responses.

The Dixie Dunce just keeps repeating his disproven bullshit ad nauseum, but the chronology of the post will always be his undoing.

So basically the Dixie Dunce just can't handle being corrected on any level, as the chronology of the posts shows.....so he acts the Dixie fool by taking things out of context and then stamping his widdle Dixie feet and sticking out his tongue.

Our Dixie Dunce proves my point over and over......fuck the Confederacy and all who try to defend/justify/rationalize it's racism.

Yep, and the last time I checked, the Sons & Daughters of the Confederacy (separate organizations) were alive and kicking! ;)

I am a member of Sons of the Confederacy. It is an organization for the preservation of Southern heritage, and open to ancestors of those who fought in the Civil War for the South. In all my years of membership, they haven't said one word to me about being Native American. In all the meetings I have attended, not once has anyone said anything derogatory about black people or any other race. I don't overhear conversations about how many black people Joe lynched last week... no off-color jokes about black people... no disagreements over Civil Rights... no negative words about MLK... no praising of Strom Thurmon nothing whatsoever that would indicate any member is racist or prejudice in any way.

Taking things out of context? You claimed you presented it out of context, because it was a "figure of speech!"

The Dixie Dunce just keeps repeating his disproven bullshit ad nauseum, but the chronology of the post will always be his undoing.
What was disproved? The Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1863, the Civil War began in 1861. You tried to claim the South refused to let go of slavery "when the time came" and that was in 1863, well after the war broke out. Jim Crow was first used to describe a law in 1866, well after the Civil War ended, you claimed the Confederacy promoted Jim Crow laws, they couldn't have, the Confederacy no longer existed. Now, the US Supreme Court upheld Jim Crow laws for years and years, was that what you meant? Should I presume you were speaking "figuratively" again?

Why preserve something that shitty?

I am a member of Sons of the Confederacy. And here we go with yet another suspiciously tailor made tale from our Dixie Dunce which gives a sideways and half assed justification/excuse/rationalization of the Southern States attitude towards slavery and black folk. It is an organization for the preservation of Southern heritage, and open to ancestors of those who fought in the Civil War for the South. In all my years of membership, they haven't said one word to me about being Native American. Right....I forgot that our Dixie Dunce claims to be a multi-ethnic/racial person who consistently posts the drivel we've seen here on this thread regarding the Confederacy, Jim Crow and the racism that spewed from both. Can you say one psychologically fucked up Dixie, boys and girls? In all the meetings I have attended, not once has anyone said anything derogatory about black people or any other race. I don't overhear conversations about how many black people Joe lynched last week... no off-color jokes about black people... no disagreements over Civil Rights... no negative words about MLK... no praising of Strom Thurmon nothing whatsoever that would indicate any member is racist or prejudice in any way.

Right, because to them it's all about the deluded image and NOT about the reality of racism that permeates their history. Once again, slavery was NOT a main concern to you cretins delusion of genteel Southern history and pride. The fucking Confederacy was a creation that DEFENDED IT'S "RIGHTS" TO MAINTAIN SLAVERY AS PART OF IT'S AGRARIAN ECONOMIC BASE...But the "slaves" were NEVER touted as a main issue with them. Fascinating mindset....slavery as an afterthought to eventually be solved. Not exactly doing the slaves a whole hell of a lot of good.

Fuck the Confederacy, fuck the assholes who keep trying to whitewash it....that means YOU, my Dixie Dunce.

And how stupid can the Dixie Dunce get folks! First I had to educate his dopey Dixie ass on what a figure of speech is, and then when I point out how this Dixie Dunce keeps taking bits and parts of previous posts to attach his ramblings to, he goes completely Dixie dumb and claims that a use of a figure of speech invalidates an entire summation or conclusion! :palm: One dumb Confederate defending Dixie dumbass!

Once again, our Dixie Dunce refers to Plessy vs. Ferguson....yet he ignores Strauder Vs. West, Morgan vs. Virginia, Brown vs. the Board of Education, Sweatt v. Painter, McLauren v. Oklahoma State Regents
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/jimcrow/struggle_court.html

Bottom line: the mindset of the Confederacy enjoyed Jim Crow with various Court approvals, but eventually loss. These rulings were based in old Conferderate/Southern states.

So once again, thanks for proving my original assertions, my Dixie Dunce. Carry on.

Chucklehead: And here we go with yet another suspiciously tailor made tale from our Dixie Dunce which gives a sideways and half assed justification/excuse/rationalization of the Southern States attitude towards slavery and black folk.
Let's get something straight mutherfucker, in all my 51 years, I have NEVER attempted to justify, excuse, or rationalize anything about slavery or prejudice against black people. All I am guilty of is introducing you to PERSPECTIVE and reminding you that history has to be looked at in terms of how things were back then, as opposed to applying TODAY'S viewpoints. That's not "justifying" any goddamn thing, that is called BEING FUCKING HONEST! Something you obviously know little about.

Tell me something, you piece of shit... do you believe you are HELPING the cause of battling racism and prejudice by yammering incessantly about Southerners who you don't even fucking KNOW? YOU are the goddamn RACIST here! YOU are the one holding something against an entire group of people, based on nothing more than where they were born.... not much fucking different than prejudice against someone because of skin pigmentation! So you take your bullshit and stick it where the sun don't shine, RACIST asswipe, I am DONE with this conversation!

I forgot that our Dixie Dunce claims to be a multi-ethnic/racial person
Just like YOU claim to be BLACK! You're probably a sheet-wearing good ol' boy, trying to make amends for your guilty racist conscience. Don't bother, trying to blame racism and slavery on Southern people is not going to ease your conscience, or let you off the hook for your deplorable bigoted racist views. Now..... GO TO HELL!

And there you have it folks, our Dixie Dunce demonstrating what a prime example he is as to what I've been describing all along. Dixie just keeps shoveling his BS, taking things out of context to wail his nonsense, and then ignoring EVERY time I present facts and the logic derived from those facts that just dissolves his Confederate defending baloney.

And what's really hysterical is that our frustrated and defeated Dixie Dunce has twice accused me of racism...and yet to date he cannot present or refer to one word or sentence where I make racist remarks against a specific race of people. Seems our Dixie Dunce believes his personal opinion supercedes definitions of words from any reputable dictionary, and his selective Dixie dumb supposition and conjecture overrides a complete examination of history.

Posts #5, 9, 58, 64, 75, 76 and 77 tells the tale, folks. And you know this Dixie Dunce just can't stand having his ass handed to him in a debate, so we'll see him spew a repeat of his previous Dixie dumb assertions, lies and accusations to get in the last word. So be it....my job of exposing yet another POS apologist for the racist Confederacy and Jim Crow is done.....fuck 'em! Carry on.
