true, where are the jobs that the gop promised during the last election?

LMAO.... so the Dems couldn't do it in two years when they had the House, the Senate and the White House firmly in their power and you expect the Reps to accomplish creating jobs in two months with just the House under their power?

Thanks for admitting the Reps are far better leaders than the Dems. Because you obviously believe they are capable of creating jobs while facing Dem obstacles in the Senate and House. Yet you know the Dems were incapable of it with all three.

But today’s workers do have rights; they have the right to choose NOT to work for someone who is abusive, they have the right to ask for pay commensurate with their skills and they have the freedom to move where better jobs might be.

The notion that Unions give you rights is not supported by the simple fact that as a Union member, you only have the rights allowed by the Union under contract. I have worked in a union shop and it was stifling and demanded workers not be "too" productive. The unions of today no longer serve a useful purpose and the leadership is corrupt, sometimes criminal and Socialistic in their mentality.

yeah, one of the latest is salaried workers are hired at will which means they can fire your ass for no given reason

If you have ever employed people you will find that when you do find someone who actually works for their pay, you do anything you can to keep them and make them happy. This notion that you can treat people like crap and continually fire people is the same leftninny mentality that suggests the economy is finite and therefore if someone has more, someone else must have less.

But this is the typical nonsense world inhabited by Libruls with their uninformed leftninny notions about the real world.

I bet that same worker has the right to QUIT for no given reason as well?

in the professional world, if a company gives less than two weeks notice or an employee gives less than two weeks notice people will not work for the company and an employee can be blacklisted, but it still happens, both ways

you mean like the robber barons

There are no facts to support such an assertion.

i am not going to do you homework for you, check the history of labor and management in this nation and others

yes there is corruption and violence on both sides but without unions we would not have many of the rights that workers have, however, we have osha now, but it evolved from the fights unions made

Funny, I was having this same argument with posters who said they were forced to join unions if they wanted the job.

How long did you work in that union shop that stifled your creativity? Why did you take the job in the first place?

My best friend, who is an engineer in Milwaukee, has left at least one job by giving less than two weeks notice. Its his way of saying, "fuck you for treating me like crap. Now, good luck finding someone who knows how to operate the newer design programs as well as I can." Hopefully he doesn't do anything as cavalier when he moves back out to Seattle.

I don't need to do any homework; there aren't any facts to support your emotional hysterics about the benefits of thuggish Unions who bully those who do not join them and run comapanies into the ground much like they do their political opponents.

Perhaps if you did a little more research, a little more reading and spent a slight amount of time using that tiny pea brain in your head you would not need to be constantly reminded how your claims and comments are nothing more than "because you say so?"

I worked in it for about a year and a half; I took the job because a friend of my fathers worked their and got me the job there. When you are 21 and just getting back from Europe, any job will do.
