I don't see any explanation, I see a dodge of the question with some generic bullshit terms being bandied about. I want an answer with some meat on the bone! Please explain to us, what is the difference between "Drill Baby Drill" and "common sense drilling?"
For the record, Jarhead... I don't recall Palin or anyone on the right, ever suggesting "Drill Willy-Nilly Baby, Drill Willy Nilly!" I don't recall anyone on the right suggesting we should just allow oil companies to disregard safety regulations or environmental mandates. Those are all delusional thoughts you may have, regarding how the right feels about drilling, but there is no basis in reality for that.
You speak of "common sense" drilling... well, my common sense tells me, we drill in every kind of condition known to man, and with modern technology and safety standards, we do so with very minimal effect to the environment the overwhelming majority of the time. NOTHING on God's Green Earth, is completely without risk! It doesn't matter WHAT form of energy you're talking about, producing it comes with some risk, just as everything does. That being said, we pump out MILLIONS of barrels a day all over America, safely and efficiently, without ANY environmental incidents.
So what the hell do you mean by "common sense" drilling.... My common sense says, if there is oil beneath the ground, and it's lucrative to drill for it, we should do it!
