Wis. Dems to return after Senate strips bargaining

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The leader of Democrats in the Wisconsin Senate says his caucus will return to the state on Thursday after Republicans voted Wednesday night to strip nearly all collective bargaining rights from public workers after discovering a way to bypass the chamber's missing Democrats.

lmao...the dems love these kind of games when they are in power...now the tables are turned and...ooops

in reality, the dems should have NEVER left. then these games, whether constitutional or not, would not have to be played. but when you run away from your responsibilities like a two year old, then expect be treated like a two year old.

elections have consequences....remember that dems....don't forget, you can come along for the ride, but you have to sit in the back

ouch!

dems had their chance. whats funny is the following

"In 30 minutes, 18 state Senators undid 50 years of civil rights in Wisconsin. Their disrespect for the people of Wisconsin and their rights is an outrage that will never be forgotten," said Democratic Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller. "Tonight, 18 Senate Republicans conspired to take government away from the people."

strange that he see's the 3 weeks they fled the state as 'not taking government away from the people'.

isn't it hilarious how the left views it as a conspiracy when they don't get the majority in an election....but quite the opposite when they do

elections have consequences....get in the back seat....

but that only applies when dems win

I'm very happy!

Even though I don't live in Wisconsin, I'm so very happy.

Taxpayers wishes have been represented. What a great moment!

This is a great day for property rights.

Damn,,,, I could go on, and on, but,,,,,:):awesome:

MAJOR BURN

The attempt to control the government from the minority failed, just as it failed in Texas with redistricting.

I understand what they were doing, and find it a legitimate political move, just as I fully understand what the Rs did and find that also legitimate. It's politics, not playground four square and the rules are what they are.

If you're going to play the game, you really need to know the rules better then the next guy.

If I were in that state senate, I'd bring a bunch of picture books to work and occasionally start reading them when I held the floor for a few minutes. :D

That may be true but with public sentiment at 2 to 1 against Republicans on this issue, that indicates a far greater degree of over reach then what occurred with HC reform. It will be interesting to see what the political blow back will be. One thing is for sure. This is far from over.

while I agree with the anti unions (they went out of fashion with the buggy whip). I'm dissappointed at another loss for the Dems.
WTF, are they really the cincinati bengals or Ohio Slow University.

democrats fight like girls.

*******************SARCASM ALERT***********

Once people realize what is in the bill, they will start liking it more and more each day. The Reps just needed to pass it so that people could see what was in it and thus like it more.

edited for idiots like Mott....

dems fucked up using this eye soar as a custer last stand type of fight. It's good to see the normally spineless jellyfish actually show a backbone.
Now do it someplace that makes sense to non turbo-libs or limosine liberals cause that's the only people sucking the union balls.
