Nice attempt at a dodge, but if the scholarships are based on financial need, then race is irrelevant.

I am quite well educated. Obviously I have enough education to see that if a whites only scholarship is racist, then so is a blacks only scholarship.

The "upper class" nonsense only works if you assume all whites are financially well off and all blacks are not.

Look, you are claiming that scholarships for whites only is racist, but scholarships for blacks only is not racist.

I have been after you to explain how that can be possible. So far you have insulted me, maligned the state I live in, tried to make it seem as though "upper class" people would understand, and now have tried to say I said something I did not.

You have done everything but answer the freakin question.

With all your much touted education, how is it you cannot answer a simple question?
 
Topper, what it boils down to is that you want to claim that something is racist based on which race benefits from it, not whether it is based on race at all.

Ok, now if you want to talk about them being counter-productive you might have a point.

But your knee-jerk reaction of calling them racist while claiming blacks only scholarships are not is just being dishonest.

And that sort of false claim of racism is why so many actual cases of racism are ignored. Keep using it every time you want to mock white trash and you will make actual cases of racism tougher to get fixed.

I get that, Tops. I get it, believe me. Would anybody here be comfortable asking for the $500 that you might get because you are at "least 25% white"?

Seriously, who would do this other than AHZ? (Yes, AHZ, we know it is all because we're all brainwashed into believing it is okay to punish us for being white men that people would be uncomfortable even asking for the cash.)

All that being said, how is it that somebody who is at "least 25% Native American" can get a scholarship for being that, but something equal like this is suddenly racism? Can somebody tell me why they think that and make it make sense?
 
The fact of a "white only" scholarship isn't racist, it's just fucking stupid and betrays a profound ignorance of the educational history of the United States. And I don't know if the people who propose them are racists, but it is the kind of thing that you would expect from a racist.

Now this I can live with. It's the immediate, "racist" label. The conversation stopper, the "controlling" word that bothers me.

My question was for the immediate drop of the controlling word that was used. It makes no sense to okay one, then say the other is "racist", if such were the case they would all be racist.

Do you think they may be looking at current reality rather than the past? The fact is that less men altogether are going to college, are whites underrepresented in classrooms currently?

Oddly enough, if I lived there, I could get this and one for Native American as I am at least 25% of each...

I suggest you look up the definition of racist first....so you don't post a lot of superfluous, irrelevant bullshit in your answer...
 
I admit I took a cheap pot shot. That said, it didn't come from the liberal NE. It came from we hate non white's texas. LOL
 
You guys need to look up racism and discrimination....

These words are not interchangeable.....
