where is the whine? all you have to do explain it...you won't, because its not true. rana thanked you because she is a hack that loves it when lefties attack righties, but hates it when righties give it back.

who cares if you're a moderate on SOME issues, what is this a brag fest about your political leanings? i'm a moderate as well, did you really need to talk about it or this more of YOUR whinefest because you can't engage in substantive debate?

Our food banks are hurting, too. When the economy's bad charities get less money, too. So it's a double whammy for the needy.

And even if the rich do give, what is the percentage of rich people compared to needy people? I think most of us give to charity but my $100 and your $100 are a spit in the ocean where real need is indicated, for example, Katrina victims. And even in "normal" circumstances (economic downturn rather than devastating act of God) individual donations alone aren't going to ease the problem.

When a person from...oh lets say...Houston calls in to the Rush Limbaugh show...which originates from Rush's compound in Florida, the board operator at the station in Houston doesn't have to do a thing. He simply monitors the broadcast and listens for SILENCE. WHILE he is doing this, he is also checking computer programming to see if the upcoming news segment is programmed correctly, if the commercials are loaded in the proper order for play during the next stopset(radio lingo for commercial break) and other minor duties he can attend to while at the same time keeping an ear to the radio. He doesn't need to listen to every single word to know that the show is operating correctly.

But I waste my time...

I am sure Yurt learned all that during his couple semesters of college radio...
