No one has argued that 12 divided by 3 isn't 4! I never claimed any such crazy-assed thing! This is a PRIME example of what happens in a pinhead mind, when they read something I post! You just hear shit that isn't there! I can't explain it, never seen anything like it before in my life.... this is a really simple thing... ONE can not be divided into 3 parts, without producing a REMAINDER! Now, I don't give a flying fuck if we post 50,000 more threads about this, or 50,000 more pinheads line up to chuckle at me over my intellect... you STILL won't be able to divide ONE into THREE parts, without producing a REMAINDER! Because MATH is MATH! It CAN'T be ARGUED!

*sigh* for some reason, you seem to think a fucking ruler is some sort of miraculous measuring instrument that accurately measures anything precisely! I can see engineers at NASA using little wooden printed rulers, when they built rockets to send men into space, because those little cheesy wooden rulers are so fucking accurate! Stop being a goddamn goofball!
Tell me, what is the percentage of the whole, for each of your three pieces of ruler? Not what the printed marks say (which are the width of a dime), but the actual percentage each piece represents of the whole ruler.... can you give me those three exact numbers? If so, you have successfully divided one ruler into three equal parts. Until you can do that, you haven't proven me wrong. Sorry!

according to ditzie..... 1/3 has no value. 1/3 isn't a number.
1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 is not equal to 1 because each of the 1/3 is .3333e and thus there is always a remainder missing (this again according to ditzie)

When I asked him in this thread about the ruler. He proclaimed a ruler doesn't measure microns and atoms and then proceeded to ask if I could guarantee each of the three portions of the ruler would have an equal number of molecules.

No moron. I never once suggested that a ruler could measure absolutely anything precisely. I stated quite clearly that a ruler could be divided into three EXACTLY EQUAL THIRDS. A point you stated was impossible.
You are the one that continues creating a straw man with regards to a ruler measuring microns, atoms and now used by NASA for everything.
I have told you repeatedly. The percentage of the whole for each of the three pieces is 33 1/3%.
It is your insane belief that a percentage must be expressed in decimals that keeps you the laughing stock of the board. There is no bigger fool than you at this point. Though Bfgrn is trying pretty hard to catch you.

I don't speak for Dixie; just me. I ax'd anyone here if they can split one dollar equally among three people so that they each have the equal amount of money. Apparently you can't, so you offer me two examples that are unrelated where you can divide something by three.
A 12" ruler can be divided equally into three parts because it is an object. The number 12 can be divided equally by three into whole numbers. $1.20 can be divided equally into 3 as well, but again, that's not my question.
Care to answer it?
