Olbermann Going to Al Gore’s Current TV Channel…

Olbermann’s Current show will likely premiere in late May, when the non-compete clause in his exit agreement with NBC Universal will have reached its conclusion. Sources tell THR that that agreement also stipulates that Olbermann cannot work for any network considered a competitor.

“He had no choice but to go to a place like Current because his non-compete excluded just about every other place,” said an MSNBC insider.

Current averaged 18,000 homes in primetime for fourth quarter 2010, lower than any other network measured by Nielsen.

I imagine Rush Limbaugh & Bill O'Reilly are laughing all the way to the bank everytime they even hear his name and how insignificant Olbermann has become.

Wow... If you add the JPP Pinheads and the number of Legion Troll clones... it comes to the same number!

Nah, that only is 6,000. Oddly enough, 6,000 cannot have a relationship with 18,000 without a remainder.

How do you know only current TV wants him?:) Maybe it is a great move for him, more money, more creative license, where did you get it that this was his only option? Looks like he is going to be Gore's main man! I say it was a win/win for both of them!:good4u:

and its a win for the two people that watch current tv.... Al and oops... I guess we can't include Al again. So just Tipper. Congrats Tipper.

do expand upon that thought. How is a sarcastic response subscribing to 'mob rule'???

What does it say about the Glenn Becks and Bill O'Reillys that their viewership is larger...that they are right? telling the truth? Or does it say more about their viewers? TV couch potatoes? Sheep? mobile vulgus?

Who cares.... I don't like any of their shows. But again... do explain how mocking current tv with a sarcastic comment is subscribing to 'mob rule'. Mocking one show does not equate to support for another. Nor does mocking the shows lack of audience say 'their message is right/wrong'.

I read something the other day that said Current TV is available to sixty million homes in the U.S.

The same article stated that the average viewership is 18,000 a day.

How low?

I heard Ray McGovern, a retired CIA agent whose expertise was the old Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc countries say the propaganda coming out of Fox News is at the same level as Pravda. But I suspect most Russians knew Pravda was propaganda.

As PT Barnum said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time..."
