Gun fun

The 11 people who were hurt ranged in age from 17 to 31, and about half of them were shot in the foot, police said. Two were hit in the abdomen, and the most seriously hurt was a 17-year-old who had a critical wound near one ear.

They were taken to nearby St. Elizabeth Health Center, and eight of them had been treated and released by afternoon, hospital spokeswoman Tina Creighton said. She said she could not release the conditions of the other three.

The university said six of the injured were students.

Members of the university-sanctioned Omega Psi Phi fraternity lived at the house, YSU spokesman Ron Cole said.

Omega Psi Phi (ΩΨΦ) is a fraternity and is the first African-American national fraternal organization to be founded at a historically black college. The fraternity has undertaken a National Social Action Program to meet the needs of African Americans in the areas of health, housing, civil rights, and education.

We need to stop the flow of guns to these community organizers.

Are you saying the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply to Negroes?

Another gun nut rampage. I'm shocked.

It obviously wasn't a gun nut. If it had been a gun nut there would have been a dozen dead, instead of people with bloody feet and a few injuries.

I'm mad cause the slams coming from this uneducated slackfest are unworthy!

The nut fired at least 11 rounds into a crowd and killed no one, seriously injured only 3 people. A gun nut would be ashamed of such shooting.

I am quite well educated, Topper. I am also against using violence to solve problems. But I can guarantee, if I ever go nuts with one of my guns, there will be a body count, not 6 people shot in the foot.

You might be on to something.... Just think if we took away their guns, think of the drop in murders and crimes in black neighborhoods, reduction in the black prison population, hell they might even get off welfare and start to work again.

It not like that hasn't been tried before! Here is a good prototype for a law:

Section 1. Be it enacted, ... [t]hat no freedman, free negro or mulatto, not in the military service of the United States [G]overnment, and not licensed so to do by the board of police of his or her county, shall keep or carry fire-arms of any kind, or any ammunition, dirk or bowie-knife,. . .

1865 Miss. Laws 165 (Nov. 29, 1865)
