So, Conservatives, do you support Mubarak or not?

Did the Iraqi people take to the streets when Saddam was ruling? I must have missed that.

Yeah.... I guess you must have been busy.

Once again I ask, "What did you do?"

I supported George W. Bush and endured 8 years of being called every name in the book, and continue to be criticized for supporting military action. You see, to me, it doesn't matter that you call me names, when I state that I "stand with" someone, it means something, it's not just meaningless words.

Dixie makes the hard sacrifices. When he stands with someone, it means he will choose to endure criticism and being called names by strangers with whom he voluntarily interacts on message boards.

How you managed to live to tell your tale, Dix, I'll never know.

Well, I also had bullets fly over my head in Baghdad, but I got paid fairly well for that. The way we got to this discussion, was Jarhead's pinhead statement he "stands with" the people of Egypt, but we don't really know what the fuck that means... can you clarify it for us Nimrod Nigel?

Frankly I do not see how it is any of our business WHO is running Egypt, other than as a matter of curiosity and basic knowledge of world current events. It's high time we learned to keep our extended proboscis out of where it does not belong.

If we were at war, or considered the regime to be a serious threat of war or war-like activity against the U.S. (or any of our mutual defense allies), it would be a different matter. That is not the case, so any "support", one way or another, in acts or rhetoric, is, IMO, the very same attitude that democrats detested about the Bush administration's foreign policy. We may be (for a little while longer, anyway) a major superpower, both economic and military, but that does NOT make us King of the World.

Obama needs to STFU.

So when you say you supported Bush and continue to support military action you're saying you support sending your fellow Americans to die for people half way around the world.

How generous of you.

Jarod's a big boy. I assume he can clarify it for you to the extent you are having difficulty understanding his meaning.

when were you in baghdad with bullets flying over your head?

you're too stupid to realize you just flat out admitted you're a hypocrite

LOL

No, I admitted I'm just as big a hypocrite as YOU ARE.

A pity you aren't honest enough to make the same admission.

WOW. I guess I'm not as big a hypocrite as you after all...:awesome:

Dixie said he was in Iraq, but stayed in the green zone... Even though he said he was in cities other than Baghdad, then when called on the discrepancy he claimed things were going so well in Iraq the whole country was a green zone.

Actually, Dixie said no such thing, Jarhead only imagined he heard this.

I remember that whole conversation. You did say such thing, and it was tremendously embarassing for you.

You won't admit it now, just as there were certainly no bullets whizzing above your head. You're pathological.

So was Dixie indulging in hyperbolic bluster or were his many critics merely reading what they wanted into their characterisations of such a 'legendary' character?

Partisans - choose your sides.

The rest of you, you'll have to trust your memories.
