So, what else ya got? My education? Again, two degrees from an accredited university. World travel? I've been to 4 continents. Credit score? mine's 785... Bowling score? 170ish... What other personal statistics would you like? Oh yeah, that's right, it doesn't matter because I was born in a specific geographical region of the country, therefore, I am just stupid. Gotchya!

You won't understand some UK humourous sayings and I would not expect you to.
The relevance of the travel question, I thought, was fairly obvious. Many Americans brag about their worldliness and the number of places they have visited, but as you must know, they really only see the inside of a military camp.
Sometimes I find it tedious in the extreme explaining simple ideas to Americans.
What you call arrogance is what we call culture. We have lots of that; even more than the French, as I'm sure you know. It differs, in no small measure, from the kind of arrogance shown by the average American braggart. We don't like braggarts.

When even Dershowitz realizes that it has taken on wider meaning in current lexicon we can too. I doubt she has the money to hire speech writers. My guess is she had a thesaurus and used it, seeing the term she thought it apropos.
 
It's actually accurate for her to use the terms. When she is blamed for murders she didn't commit, it's exactly the same thing, despite whiny jews and their perpetual whining.

Seriously. The term is far broader than that one meaning and has been for a very long time. It's silly to suggest she is some sort of gestapo agent because she used a phrase that in current lexicon means "falsely accused" and is used quite widely. I posted earlier a link to an article by Dershowitz speaking about it and pointed out that when even Dershowitz comes to the defense of Palin maybe we should pause a bit.

Considering that the radio announcer (jewish) didn't know the relatively obscure other meaning, she used the word in a context in which it fit.
