A photograph was circulated early this morning of the Tucson billboard, which was located along Interstate 10, just five miles from the Safeway store where a gunman killed six people and injured 13 others, including Giffords!

Okay.... So Jarred Loughner was just driving along I-10, sipping his Slurpee, when he saw this billboard, and that was all she wrote... He made a beeline straight for the Safeway, saw the political gathering, and just went berserk, because of the bullet holes in the billboard he just saw... Is THAT what you are trying to tell us, Kenny?

:lmao:

It's terrible that "NO ONE ELSE" had a gun at that event.

Just think,,,, If every adult at that Safeway had a gun,,,, a little girl may still be alive. And a trial may not be needed.

WTF? What does this billboard have to do with anything? And the spaghetti western clip was thrown in for what reason?

This is called propaganda. You are spouting bullshit to try and get people mad at conservatives. This puts you in the same category as those you seek to condemn.

There is no such thing as a "private gun dealer". If one is a gun dealer you have to have a licence and do background checks. Private gun owners, like private auto owners, are allowed to sell their property without the restrictions placed on dealers.

So you have evidence that the event described in the story didn't happen?

Post it.

The proof is in the federal laws concerning gun dealers. In order to be a dealer you have to have an FFL. If those people had FFLs they were guilty of a crime. But they were not dealers. Those people were selling their own personal guns.

That isn't what I asked.

Did the events described in the story happen, or not?

The story started out with a premise that gun "dealers" were not doing the required background checks. They are not gun dealers. If you start with a false premise, the rest of the story is false as well.

So you can prove that no "gun dealers" are engaged in this practice?

..."Bloomberg’s office hired 40 private detectives to attempt illegal purchases this summer at gun shows in Ohio, Tennessee and Nevada, including Goodman’s Hara show.

They found that both licensed and private gun dealers were willing to sell firearms to detectives posing either as people admitting they couldn’t pass a background check or as obvious straw buyers..."

Then those licenced gun dealers need to be prosecuted.

Do you wish you'd ascertained the facts before reaching your conclusion?

The initial story you posted was what I responded to. There was no mention of any gun dealers (by the legal definition of a gun dealer) selling guns without a background check. And that story is the one to which I responded with my "there is no such thing as a private dealer".

If there have been investigations showing licenced gun dealers not doing background checks, that was not mentioned in the initial article to which I responded.

If someone breaks the law, prosecute them.

My facts fit quite well with my statement.
