Attack on gun rights begin anew~

ever hear of a LAW used my american military units (not just heavy weapons platoons, most squads have at least one :))

then there is the TOW that is used by heavy weapons platoons

both the LAW and the TOW may be used against armored vehicles, the TOW is used against heavier armored vehicles like an abrams - the TOW has a much longer range than the LAW
Yes, I issued upwards of thousands of them I'm aware of all the capabilites and flaws of them, back blast and overpressure being chief amongst the LAWS limitations and size of mounts being the TOWs

Also, no most squads do not carry LAWs. They were phased out in favor of the AT4, which is not often carried, because of increased weight for reduced benefit.

i wager that LAWs are issued in afghanistan, they are handy against positions behind walls - they are simple and light weight

ps my son-in-law is an ex xo of a tank company so i could ask him (before he was a lieutenant in the army, he was a marine sergeant)

if a stinger would be used against american citizens, then yes we should be able to buy and possess stingers. If tanks can be used against american citizens, then we should be able to own tanks. and if nuclear subs would be used against american citizens, then hell yes we should be able to get them.

what part of 'we the people' being the sovereign power over the government are you having a hard time in understanding?

You are a strange lot in the US.

As a cost effective weapon, few things rival a sniper. Hunters make excellent snipers for practical purposes.

Rather than argue about stingers and tanks, I'll keep my fellow hunters in close.

I'm still planning on setting my 7.62x54 for 1/2 to 3/4 mile.

And I'll wager that current policy is to only issue LAWs in the absence of the AT4s. Since I was a Marine Corps ammunition technician (the guy who counted, stored, and issued the stuff), I'm gonna say this wager is in my favor.

Because they DO have mortars, shoulder fired rockets, etc. The scenario is, supposedly, a full blown revolution, right? Not just you pulling a Loughner from long range....

BTW: there isn't a 7.62X54R rifle made with the MOA to shoot 3/4 mile consistently. (Not to mention that, regardless of the rifle, only about 1 shooter in 100,000 can shoot 1000 meters consistently - and that takes CONSTANT (daily) practice.)

Most psychologists won't make that diagnosise, until the person is 18.

This is true in most cases, with my friend, it was evident at this very early age. She is now in prison serving time for breaking into a home and holding the people at gun point. It has been a very tragic case. My niece was diagnosed at 18.

You've never seen the Finnish competition Mosins have you? Those are EXTREMELY accurate.
