It's been a while since I addressed this issue, but as I recall the announcement in 1961 simply states that a grandchild was born, not where. The electronic copy can be issued to a foreign born. With regards to the registrar, he/ she was probably simply repeating what the electronic copy states.

I don't find it ironic, she sounded confused, she also never said he was born in Kenya.

I wonder if GWB was born in Mexico while his mother was off on a drunken bender, it's about as likely as Obama being born in Kenya!

so you're saying the births announced by the newspaper as given by HBS, are not about births in hawaii, but births all over? that doesn't make sense...

While I agree with you that it would be simple for Obama to just provide his birth certificate and end this nonsense, it is absurd to believe he was born in Kenya.

His father was attending college in the state of Hawaii when he was born and he did not return to Kenya until 1965. There is no rationale reason to think his mother would have taken him to Kenya to be born when his father was still in Hawaii.

Obama’s ‘Certification of Live Birth’ form reveals his Birth Registration was FILED in 1961 but was never fully ACCEPTED by the Hawaiian State Registrar’s Office.

The fact is that even if The Obama admitted that he was born in Kenya it wouldn't matter now. What's done is done.
