TSA...OOC (out of control)

so your solution is to just forget the whole deal and let anyone board with anything they want to and just accept the fact that planes will occasionally blow up and that is just part of the cost of rapid air transport?
No. I've already presented a solution. It's inane to pretend that I haven't when you even responded to it with a different logical fallacy and more support for unreasoned searches based on how much it makes you feel safer.

"Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."

I remember that line....isn't that what the pinheads were spouting when Bush passed the Patriot Act....?
You bet your ass it is....
funny how that've changed their tune....

Everything bad about the PATRIOT act was actually strengthened by this administration, but they remain silent.

Who remains silence, there are a lot of things I don't like about what Obama has done or not done!
Yet until you see a post like mine you say nothing about it, and then it's only to object on what I said not to tell us all about how you think those violations of rights should end and when. Before it was evidence that Bush was a pResident rather than a President, now...

It's all good. And so long as you say, "Nuh-uh, there's plenty I don't like." at just the right moments you think you've done your part.

I bet you wouldn't have thought it was unreasonable if they had found a bomb strapped to his abdomen, would you?

Like I said... you do not have a RIGHT to fly on commercial airlines. It is a privilege that is not afforded to everyone. If you want to get from point A to point B on a jet airliner that carries hundreds of other people, you will agree to submit to scrutiny that you would not be forced to submit to if you chose to WALK from point A to point B. I am perfectly OK with that. If you aren't...get some good walking shoes and avoid the hassle.

You don't have a right to ride in a Taxi.
So you wouldn't have a problem with a Taxi driver patting you down, before letting you enter his Cab??
Bus drivers??
Car rentals??
Gas stations??
Grocery stores??

TSA: Enhanced pat-downs will continue!

Washington (CNN) -- Enhanced security pat-downs that have been vilified by travelers as legal groping are here to stay, at least for now, the federal official in charge of transportation security told CNN on Sunday.

John Pistole, the administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, said he understood public discomfort over having a stranger touch the buttocks, breasts and genitals in trying to find possible hidden explosives, but he called the extra screening necessary.

Nope the scanners only show what is on the outside. And it isn't foolish. They are adults and can bring stuff with them that isn't illegal. Just like you can have alcohol in your car even though you shouldn't drink it.

Actually here they give you a ticket for driving, if alcohol is in the reach of the driver(if he has access to it). As silly as that sounds? Too many people being run over by drunk drivers....

If someone drove for a living(especially with passengers), the fines should be much higher.

and courts have said you don't have an expectation of privacy to avoid searches when flying, especially internationally, the issue is state side, but i'm sure there is a decision out there that finds pat downs consitutional

the other issue is...you do not have a right to fly damo

bull crap. we the people have the inalienable right to travel freely, using any method we desire.
