Let the truth be known

Yay! We agree on that. However, the salient point is that it is not possible for anyone to influence an economy before they TAKE OFFICE.

You made the first step; can you make the second?

Holding breath....

The "influence" comes from what people expect or anticipate; you fucking brain dead idiot.

If your Mother-in-law was COMING to visit, it has an influence on how you feel about it.
Depending on your relationship, it creates an atmosphere; even though she has not ARRIVED.

goal post movers? really....thats funny, because this all started with these two posts:

i said no one expected obama to "fix" the economy....your response was to mock me and say i'm blind as to what republicans say:

now....this was the original issue...you however have done your very best to slip and slide away from it, but unfortunately for you, USF called you on your dishonest attempt to get away from your original claim <-- that being republicans expected obama to "fix" the economy before he took office

there it is in black and white onceler...you cannot spin your way out of this

who are the republicans that expected obama to "fix" the economy before he took office?

I'm dead serious here. All kidding & goofing around aside; completely serious.

Did you read my last post?

I was poking bravo; my only point was that it's silly & ridiculous to hold anyone responsible for an economy before they take office and have a chance to do anything, which was borne out of conservatives calling the downturn the "Obama Recession" as early as November of 2008.

The thing with you is, you'll just hop on anything I say and start demanding all kinds of links and proof and all that. It's BS that you said I "distracted" you; on the other thread, I made it clear I was talking about the market crash & "Obama Recession," and you had no issue w/ it at that point.

Frankly, I should have bailed on this whole discussion ages ago - probably from the beginning - because it's a fairly fruitless one with you parsers & goal-post movers.

So now the new liberal definition of lying, is "poking".
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

one more time, let's see if onceler can stop running from his claim:

A President-elect, or a Congressman-elect, has no more ability to fix an economy than they do to cause a recession, or, for that matter, start a war, or do anything else that Presidents & Congresspeople who are actually in office do.

Get it yet? I'm frankly amazed by this. I don't think I can be any more clear, though I will keep at it.

Read my last post, and the post before it.

Again - this is amazing. You're showing no sense of comprehension here at all; none.

bumping; please - I implore you...try reading through this again, and really take a second to think about it this time....

I have such hope....

its hilarious watching onceler desperately trying everything he can to avoid answering the question regarding the claim he made that republicans expected obama to fix the economy before he took office....you got away once onceler, not again

You appear to be the only one that is stuck on anyone 'fixing" the economy, prior to assuming the office.
You keep throwing this out and yet the only proof that it was ever suggested, is your opinion; which you've shown nothing to support it.

Obama winning the election created an atmosphere that allowed some to speculate. This has nothing to do with your assertion of "fixing" anything.

Admit you lied and we can move forward.
Well, that's not entirely true; because the rest of use have always been able to move forward, whereas you are obviously stuck in the hole you dug for yourself.

You're really not doing yourself any favors, Yurt.

Do you really not get this?

:palm:

so...again

Ah....and it comes down to this.

Yurt & USFreedom endorsing the idea that it is plausible enough for Obama to have caused a recession (that was already in progress) by merely being elected that it isn't completely ridiculous to make that argument.

It took a long time. I guess we know who the hacks are now, though...

Like I said, about 30 seconds after that, I posted what my meaning was - the stock market tanking, calling it the "Obama Recession" - and you were absolutely, 100% fine w/ that explanation, and asked me to link that. There wasn't one word about a hairsplitting distinction of "fixed", or anything like that. A full day went by before you latched onto that.

I explained my initial post to bravo, and the basic idea behind it, which you either ignored (hopefully), or didn't understand (which would be somewhat tragic).

Oh - I forgot - that's all because I "tricked" you.

LOL

Show where I said Obama "caused" a recession.
As a matter of fact, show where I said anything about a "recession"
You really seem to be set on redefining yourself as a merry-go-round and you're doing a real good job at making it true.

What were you referring to when you said "allowed some to speculate"?

Speculate about what?

Be specific now...

wow...your dishonest is appalling, in post 16 you agreed with me that fixing and causing are not the same thing

it was not a full day "before" i latched on onto the fix claim, that was what i first called you on, however, you deflected and since i wasn't paying close attention i forgot about the original claim you made the republicans expected obama to FIX the economy before he took office

now, you said fixing and causing are two different things...so...one more time, let's see if onceler can be honest and answer the question

who are the republicans that expected obama to "fix" the economy before he took office?

^come on onceler...who said he could FIX the economy

as i expected, onceler ran away from the simple question, but has all the time to make an insultive post in the earmark thread

yawn

I was actually making an illustrative point about you in the earmark thread.

The continued lack of comprehension is unsurprising at this point.
