looks like the dems are going to route as usual..though i was hoping for a whitman win for governor, i don't particularly care for all of her agenda, however, we definitely don't need another round of brown....ca...could have used someone with a good business background to whip this state into shape....

then again, with the assembly full of liberals, its makes a repub gov almost ineffective...

Whitman has been behind for a pretty long time. The Democrats locked up the race a month ago, and Whitman was only ever ahead basically because she was throwing money at the race long before the Brown campaign had even started.

on a positive note, i'm glad that money didn't buy this election...the trend has been that he or she who spends the most wins....

hopefully that trend continues to reverse...

gavin newsomebodyswife could have one this....he had the most important qualification to cali voters....(D)

Brown is probably going to have a much easier time governing than Schwarzenegger due to the fact that he no longer has to get a two thirds majority to pass a budget.

Coat tails?

You guys did get the AG office, the office I'd least like you to get.

you want all republicans dead...so whats one office to you?

you have the gov office, virtually complete assembly....most AG's, even dems, are conservative...no loss...just look at obama's ag....and brown's tenure...

needed to be done, the near yearly budget fuck up wreaks havoc on california...my buddy's wife is a teacher and every year their life is thrown in turmoil because there is no budget...

the guy that started prop 19 was told by all types of legalization advocacy groups not to put this on the ballot in 2010. They wanted more time to educate the prole masses and also wanted to take advantage of the higher voter turnout in 2012. Now that prop 19 has lost, there could be blowback which may make it even harder to get it passed in 2012 than it otherwise would have been. Fucking stoner idiot being too fucking stupid to see the big picture and now everything is fucked just like the national advocacy groups had predicted.

You have to wonder with all the kool-aid drinkers in California that would vote in those cunts Brown & Boxer, why were they not able to pass Prop 19.

People who own dispenseries were against it, growers of medical Marijuana were against it, and conservatives were against it. Growers and dispensers would have seen their cash cow die if anyone could grow it, supply would have gone up, prices would have gone down. I have a friend here in NM who was in the process of moving to california to be a grower for Medical Marijuana but delayed the move until after the election.

People believe the vast majority of Californians wanted this and when all is said and done and it's them, their pen, and the ballot, their real voices come through. No one I know wanted this legalized and even more so because of Federal law.

The nightmare of adding this to the already burdened court systems with DUI laws would likely be staggering. Go into any court in agricultural areas in California and they are flooded with illegal immigrants being charged with DUI's to the point of unbelievability.

The biggest thing that happened in California is the unions proved they have huge leverage and if the polticians they backed don't follow through, all hell will break loose.
