Once again, this buffoon contradicts his screen name.

I didn't make any "allegations", I merely posted the FACTS AS THEY WERE REPORTED.
No, you didn't. you posted a story and then lied your ass off about it being a privately run fire department that just sat on its ass. you completely glossed over the FACT that it was a CITY fire department following CITY policy and then calling it Libertarianism. In short, you LIED!

I merely pointed out how Libertarian assholes consistently wail about NO gov't interference in their lives....ESPECIALLY in collecting taxes to help out other people or to enforce laws that protect the public health. Well, here are PRIME examples of how that ideology works out in reality.
you're lying again, or you're just plain stupid. maybe both.

STY and his ilk are a bunch of cowardly, selfish SOS. They've got theirs....fuck everyone else....but they (Libertarians) sure as hell don't have a problem benefitting from/an using the social services the very system they profess to hate provides.
more lies with a few ad homs thrown in.

Reality once again, kicks this dopes ass...and he doesn't like it.
you wouldn't know reality if it exploded out of your body like an Alien movie.

The LP (Libertarian Party) no doubt. It's on their website about all the programs they would like to privatize.

Most Republicans tend to be the small l and I've heard quite a few of these types talk over the years and can't I've ever really heard any of them forcefully come out and say we need to privatize our fire departments. I'm sure people can find a few statements that random Republicans have made but as far as making it to the national platform and something most of the party runs on that's not something we are going to be seeing.

But the thing is, Wack, that the GOP has embraced the Tea (Party) baggers in all their birdshot anger....and if you go over the various stances of the various self professed Tea Party groups, you'll see strong echos if not outright plagiarization of Libertarian rhetoric.

And THAT is what's scary.

Well first we have to see if any with Tea Party support get elected. And then if they do how much power (or persauson) they will have with other Republicans in Congress. And if we are talking the Senate you obviously have to get 60 votes to pass something which tends to keep out more extreme type of legislation. And Republican campaign rhetoric often doesn't match their actions once in office. If talking a good game was all that mattered the Republicans would earn an A+. For their actions not so much.

So for me personally yeah I'd love to see some tea party candidates win office and shake up the Republican establishment. But in reality even if a couple of the tea party backed candidates do win I expect very little change.

And of course, you can copy and paste where I stated EXACTLY what you accuse me of? Because if you can't, you've just (once again) demonstrated what a dishonest little child you are when your neocon/libertarian BS balloon gets busted. I never said that this was a privately run fire dept., I pointed out that how it's run is EXACTLY how the libertarians would have ALL services run. Privatization would result in the same system......direct pay for all services, no communal services paid for via taxes.

Wow, your debating skills are improving....you can now make TWO accusations without a shred of proof in the chronology of the posts to support them.

Yes, it's evident that is your style.....but the chronology of the posts and a simple challenge to provide PROOF of your accusations and allegations usually is enough to reduce you to parroting the same BS ad nauseum, while ducking a simple burden of proof or an actual discussion of the facts and their ramifications.

you wouldn't know reality if it exploded out of your body like an Alien movie.

:palm: See folks, idiots like STY just can't stand the truth...so STY wails and stamps his widdle feet like a child caught in a lie.

Got news for you Wack.....the GOP has kept up with it's campaign promises....just read the PNAC agenda website, if it's still up. And ever since they got their asses kicked in 2008, they've kept up with their promises to stop Obama at all costs....Just as Demint.

The Tea Party mania has been usurped by the Koch brothers and Dick Armey's FreedomWorks. But similar to when Reagan courted the fringe evangelist, the tea baggers are now more trouble than they are worth for votes because they are costing the GOP votes as they become more vocal and their "candidates" are exposed for the clowns they are. If tea bagger candidates do get in, they won't "shake up" anything.....they'll just follow the GOP anti-Obama agenda of supoenas, investigations and repeal attempts.

Well people, here's a preview of what can happen to the rest of the country if our PNAC loving, tea bagging, Libertarian professing, neocon parroting, Dixiecrat, Bluedog Dem friends have their way:

No fee, no fire protection

Firefighters let a mobile home burn to the ground because the owner didn't pay a $75 fire protection fee, authorities say.

there is your proof, your very first posting. worm your sorry ass out of that one.

Well, one thing is clear. The chronology of the posts from TC pinhead certainly prove a point.....according to him/her/it....the Republicans, the Libertarians, the Tea Party, Neocons, Dixiecrats, Bluedog Dems, and friends of PNAC are all responsible for this trailer burning down....

Yep...One sure thing about TC...."when faced with the reality of his beliefs, he goes into denial mode or acts like a frustrated grade schooler who doesn't like being proven wrong in front of the class. He is intellectually impotent and braying like a jackass yet again.
.... never shy about displaying his ignorance...he misses the entire point of the article."

Try not paying your real estate taxes....see how long you'll be allowed to stay in your house as a free loader.
Don't buy medical insurance and demand someone else pay your bills....
Don't buy flood insurance and demand someone pay the cost of your loses after a flood.
Don't buy fire insurance and demand AllState reimburse you for your fire damaged kitchen....

This sums it up pretty well.......

Cranick's fellow residents in the rural stretches of Obion County had no fire protection until the county established the $75 fee in 1990. As Williamson explained: "The South Fulton fire department is being treated as though it has done something wrong, rather than having gone out of its way to make services available to people who did not have them before. The world is full of jerks, freeloaders, and ingrates — and the problems they create for themselves are their own. These free-riders have no more right to South Fulton's firefighting services than people in Muleshoe, Texas, have to those of NYPD detectives."

Tachi this has NOTHING to do with libertarianism. The County of Obion has NO FIRE SERVICE. They are working on getting a county fire department but don't yet. South Fulton TN is a municipal fire department that is paid for by the taxes of the citizens of South Fulton. They have for several years offered rural residents of Obion County fire service for the low low low price of 75 dollars per year, about the cost of 8 twelve packs of shitty beer like Bud. Lots of people do that, but not Mr. Cranick. I don't know where you live, but my bet is, the fire department of the next city will not fight fires in YOUR city and your city FD will not fight fires in another city. If you want fires put out, live in a city or county that has a fire department. If not, you better make arrangements. But this was not some great failure of privatized fire fighting.

From a local paper in the area.

South Fulton Mayor David Crocker said city officials don’t want to see anyone’s house burn, but he emphasized that South Fulton has a city fire department which is supported by city taxes in order to serve its residents — with a rural fire subscription service made available outside the city limits to county residents in the city’s designated rural coverage area.
“We’re very sorry their house burned,” he said.

This is all just liberal bullshit. Just because the people of Obion county DON'T pay taxes that support the fire dept in South Fulton they should still HAVE to put out fires in Obion County without being compensated. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. Right Tachi?

Hey genius, where is the QUOTE of me stating that it was a privately run fire dept.? I don't see it here, and if you do, I strongly urge you to get the crack out of the pipe you're smoking.

:palm: SMY is just one dumb bunny, folks.

I keep forgetting how fucking dumb you are, Bravo......I refer to how the forementioned are ALL on the same page about privatization and reduction of state/federal taxes to the point were people are paying out of pocket for public services normally provided through taxes. I STATE PLAINLY that what happened to the trailer could happen across the country if such policies are implemented.

Poor Bravo has a limited intellect and therefore is unable to be original even when he's throwing out childish insults. This is the height of Bravo's cleverness....:palm:

Try not paying your real estate taxes....see how long you'll be allowed to stay in your house as a free loader.

And how does this change the FACT that the system of services like a fire dept. via annual State/City/County taxes would have saved that man's trailer as opposed to the idiocy that didn't?
Don't buy medical insurance and demand someone else pay your bills....

So if you have a car accident, or a coronary in the middle of the street and you don't have insurance, the cops just let you die, right? And since Doctors and hospitals will send debt collectors after you for your bills if you don't pay (and you could go to jail eventually), WTF is Bravo going on about, and how does this change the FACT that the system of services like a fire dept. via annual State/City/County taxes would have saved that man's trailer as opposed to the idiocy that didn't?

Don't buy flood insurance and demand someone pay the cost of your loses after a flood.

A stupid analogy, as we're currently seeing people flooded out throughout the country with NO insurance who are seeking all types of relief assistance while they try to relocate and such. Hardship stories abound, so WTF is Bravo talking about, and how does this change the FACT that the system of services like a fire dept. via annual State/City/County taxes would have saved that man's trailer as opposed to the idiocy that didn't?

Don't buy fire insurance and demand AllState reimburse you for your fire damaged kitchen....

See above responses.
This sums it up pretty well.......

It sums up how fucking stupid Bravo is.....instead of dealing with the issue the article shows, he creates all types of bogus "what if", that reality renders either moot or absurd.

These free-riders have no more right to South Fulton's firefighting services than people in Muleshoe, Texas, have to those of NYPD detectives."

Once again, Bravo believes reiterating a moot point justify's a fuck up. Bottom line, instead of instituting a tax system for this service that has served the entire COUNTRY well for some time, South Fulton opted for a system THAT FAILED! That the man had the $75 to pay ON SITE was rebuffed goes to show the sheer absurdity of the system.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upsho...e-fire-sparks-conservative-ideological-debate

It's easy for people like Bravo to demonize the victim, because they just ignore ALL the facts and develop tunnel vision to protect their warped view of humanity.

If there is a fire in my town that is beyond the capability of the local dept, then they request assistance from the next town and they get it. Instead of just changing a few laws to include Obion County into a tax system that would provide fire protection/services, they created a system that resulted in a fire dept. standing around while a man's home burned down. FORGET THE FACT THAT HE HAD THE MONEY ON HAND, OR THAT THEY COULD HAVE BILLED THE POOR SOB. What happened to Cranick was just plain mean spirited, callous indifference.

Not the American ethic I was taught.

Libertarians all wail about less gov't on any level, as does the tea baggers, the GOP. They demonize anyone who at any time takes any service on the public dole....well, here's perfect example of what happens. TFB if it leaves a sour taste in everyone's mouth.....reality can be a bitch sometimes.

So they couldn't have billed the guy? Taken the money he had on hand and written up a receipt? WTF?
