Clearly Radical Ultracaffinated Tea Party people have never met a tax they would not oppose...

They seem to belive that if the government did not tax we would all be better off.

No matter what the taxes are, they would be happy to do away with them.

So would you cut...

The Smithstonian Institute?
Compulsary Universal Education?
The FDA?
The Army?
THe Navy?
The Air Force?
The Marines?
What about police?
The FBI?
Maybe we should sell the buildings Congress, the Supreme Court and the White House are in?
The National Monuments?
The National Parks?
Stop international aid to nations that will quickly be aided by our enemies.
Maybe immideatly cease the war in Afganistan?
Pull out completly from Iraq?
Close our forign embassies?
End the Postal Service?
Stop administering the Air Traffic Control System?
Stop administering the television and air waives?
What about the VA?
Should national Hunting lands not be administered by the Fed.

Should the Grand Canyon be filled in and made into a parking lot, as was once sugested by Reagan's secretary of the interrior?

Will you support presidental canidates who will refuse to appoint leaders to the treasurery, department of education, department of housing and urban Development, department of energy, deparetment of the interrior?

Come on, its really disengenous to whine about ALL taxes, yet support any spending.

Come on Jarod we've been through this. Tea Party folk are really anarchists who don't want government. It's that simple. We start with the U.S. and then work to eradicate government across the globe.

Nope, they are misguided people who dont look past there own nose. Waaa, I dont want to pay anything to the government, I want the services, I just dont want to pay for them.

Seriously, they refuse to agree to cut anything substantual, yet dont want to pay any real taxes.

For what I get, my taxes are a really good deal.

No, there mainly a bunch of narccissist who want to cut any government program as long as it's one they don't like or doesn't affect them personally.

I mean Jarod's right. You want to have a smaller government then you need to make some hard decisions cause you can't have your cake and eat it too.

I by and large have to agree....but then I'm not making $500,000 a year and paying $175,000 in taxes. LOL

The shoe is always different when it's on the other foot Jarod.

So would you cut...

The Smithstonian Institute? From Federal funding? YEP!
Compulsary Universal Education? YEP!
The FDA? NOPE!
The Army? NOPE!
THe Navy? NOPE!
The Air Force? NOPE!
The Marines? NOPE!
What about police? Feds don't fund the police, it's done locally.
The FBI? NOPE!
Maybe we should sell the buildings Congress, the Supreme Court and the White House are in? Maybe so, but I think they are all paid for.
The National Monuments? Again, already paid for.
The National Parks? Ditto!
Stop international aid to nations that will quickly be aided by our enemies.YEP!
Maybe immideatly cease the war in Afganistan? Might as well, we're not in it to win it, bring 'em home, save the money!
Pull out completly from Iraq? See above
Close our forign embassies? Why not?
End the Postal Service? Fine by me!
Stop administering the Air Traffic Control System? Nope!
Stop administering the television and air waives? Sure, why not!
What about the VA? Nope.
Should national Hunting lands not be administered by the Fed. National Hunting lands??? LMAO

Should the Grand Canyon be filled in and made into a parking lot, as was once sugested by Reagan's secretary of the interrior? LOL, right!

Will you support presidental canidates who will refuse to appoint leaders to the treasurery, department of education, department of housing and urban Development, department of energy, deparetment of the interrior? Who suggested this?

Come on, its really disengenous to whine about ALL taxes, yet support any spending.

What's disingenuous is to act like the Tea Party wants to completely eliminate ALL government spending. To gin up fear and worry about 'evil republicans' who want to take away this or that, fill in the grand canyon and make a parking lot... that sort of shit. That is DISINGENUOUS!

How about we start with cutting the waste and bureaucracy, and streamline the essential departments considerably? Then, how about we eliminate federal departments that are inefficient or redundant, or serve no real purpose except to make our lives more miserable? Like the IRS and Dept. of Education? How about we stop paying for appointed "Czars" of this and that, and start allowing private sector capitalist solutions to work? How about a Balanced Budget Amendment and bringing back Line-item Veto? How about we start operating the Federal Government like we have to operate our individual households, on a strict budget, where things aren't bought unless they can be paid for? How about we defund things like Bridges to Nowhere, Big Digs, teaching African males how to clean their penis? How about we stop giving grants to study the mating rituals of spotted owls in the Northwest? Or building Turtle Tunnels underneath the interstates? How about we stop paying $175 million a year to maintain underground helium storage facilities, which were built back when dirigibles were in fashion, and we thought it to be 'strategic' and a matter of national security to build such facilities? How about we stop giving our tax dollars to the NEA to fund "artists" who shit in a can or submerge a cross in urine, and call it "art?"

Sure lets get rid of the IRS, I bet everyone will volentarly pay taxes. Thats a great place for a tea party whacko to start with.

Well, I also don't really think cutting the military budget is practical immediately while we're in Afghanistan.

A long term plan to halve the military budget (maybe by 2015?) would be reasonable. If any booms occurred it may very well actually put us on a balanced budget, but I doubt it would be enough to give us a reasonable expectation of a balanced budget on a year to year basis.

My own thoughts have been repeated often, but I'll repeat again: slash the military budget (at least a third), privatize Social Security, continue to expand investment into domestic sources of energy & renewables, and resurrect Gore's "reinventing gov't" project from the '90's, which was making some pretty good headway on eliminating bureaucratic waste (which is more bloated in some places than people could imagine).

Is it really worth the effort to even respond to Jarhead and his pinheaded possie of peckerheads ????? Might just as well talk to a rock or a tree.....

I know you would love not to have to respond to truth, justice, reason, and the American way...

Its tough when there are people who try to keep you honest.... But wake UP!

Oh yeah that's you all right Jarod. Mr. 'tea party people want to pay no taxes'. You are so full of shit. A good conversation can be had if you didn't have to dip into hyperbole (and outright falshehoods or lies) in an attempt to start it.

So what should the tax rate be?

Yep, institute the Fair Tax, and there is no more need for an IRS. People will pay a national sales tax of around 23%, but will gain the 35% currently being deducted from their paychecks. We bring in the same amount of revenue (if not more) and stimulate business, as well as eliminating an entire department from our bloated federal bureaucracy.
