Fleeing from Health Care

Your kidding right?

if we've got another big government program then you can thank Republicans who ignored every plea for bipartisanship and who instead shouted down every single plan put forth by Democrats.

Democrats had a chance to do something great, but they couldn't because they got roadblocks thrown up in front of them at every turn by status-quo loving Republicans beholden to Big Pharma.
It has been a pretty blatant, just say no campaign.

I don't have much good to say about the republicans. I don't vote for them. That being said I don't want what I'm led to believe is a mandate. I don't want what the dems have given us.

There's some potentially good things in it, but there are some really bad things as well.

Liberty,

This seems to be the case more often than not!

To all you lib-tards wanting government run health care: get your own damn health care.
I have it, next...I just want the same medical treatment for the least of my brethern, like my friend who works two jobs to make ends meet and neither have health care. She puts off exams because she can not afford it. Thanks to her age now and special programs, she can get a free mammogram. He daughter works for an insurance company and recently was hospitalized, she will have to get a second job to pay off her medical bills and she works for an insurance company! You can't reject the whole because of a few changes that need to be revisited. There are a lot of good, hard working people who need help and not because they are looking for a hand out, they are looking for a hand up!

We are only as strong as our weakest link.

Oh cry me a river. She should have bought her own health care. If you Democrats didn't favor the trial lawyers so much she could afford a better policy.

You are very insensitive, somehow I don't think you really mean this, if you do, I feel for your friends and neighbors!

Well, find her an affordable policy and I will give her the information, soulless one!

She's not my responsibility, but your friend, oh soulless one. And again, if you Democrats didn't favor the trial lawyers so much she could afford a better policy.

You reduce things to one issue.

You can't be helped and I hope no one you knows ever has a difficult time just surviving in life. I think it is wonderful that no one you know faces these difficulties. I hope you never have to sit by a woman having chemo and is racked with pain because she can not afford the medication.

I hope your friends father is never denied a procedure and dies as a result.

Losers had to work all their lives just to make ends meet, and couldn't afford health insurance, so they deserve to just die or suffer intense pain! Yeah, that's compassion for your fellow human.

I think I am done here!

You reduce things to emotion. All of those folks are eligible for Medicaid. Again, cry me a river.

The truth hurts!:viol:
I don't understand you people, no compassion for your fellow humans, I find it disgusting.

No wonder the USA is in such bad shape.

You all feel sorry for the rich, but have no feelings for those of us who have not and it is not their faults, I pity the two of you and hope it never happens to you or anyone you love. This attitude is becoming more prevalent in this country and it is a shame, a real shame, it is especially disappointing from someone who claims to be Catholic!

You two probably kick puppies

Cheers.

Don't you sometimes wonder what planet, soulless righwingers live on?

A lot of people can't get insurance. And one of the only good things about ObamaCare is that with the pre-existing conditions clause and the age-extension for younger dependents, is that some of them can get it now. We really should have a single payer public plan, but the Tea Bag party just ain't hip to that.

You story about some gal working two jobs and still not having health care isn't at all uncommon. It would be awesome to live in that rightwing utopiawhere of John Boner and Rush Limbaugh where everyone can somehow magically buy affordable, decent insurance. But I think that utopia only exists in the theoretical masturbations of rightwing think tanks. I had an uninsured ex-girlfriend who got breast cancer, and there wasn't a private insurance company in the nation that would touch her. It took drastic and unorthodox measures to get her decent health insurance. I really don't think that should be neccessary.

It is criminal and so is medicine for profit, unless it is plastic surgery or other surgery you opt for, the preventive and emergency and all the other should not cost anyone so much that they have to go to the emergency for treatment. Then they don't pay and the cost is passed on to the rest of us, anyway, one way or the other, we pay.

You're full of shit on this one, lib-babe. We conservatives have plenty of compassion for our fellow humans. We just like to make it optional, not required by a government that cannot be compassionate and wastes charity money.

When you lower taxes and make charity optional and prove a low overhead, people give more. Want proof: Americans give more in charity then their uber-taxed European counter-parts.

I donate lots to my church and that goes to help battered women, hungry children and such. If I wasn't taxed so much by your beloved government then I could give more.

Food For The Poor has one of the lowest overheads for any charity, which is why I support them. Compare that to the waste and fraud that is your beloved government.

Why don't you trust Americans to be charitable?

No, I love puppies.

I think what you're missing is the fact that the govt is taking my (our) money that I could use for healthcare and other things, making regulations that drive up the cost using my (our) money to do this, making it harder for me (us) to get healthcare, just to give to someone else.

I'm of the opinion that the govt is the real problem. I also don't think that the govt has the constitutional authority to be apart of my healthcare. I certainly don't want to get into a limited funded plan that will decide what I can or can't have. And I truely hate the idea of having a bureaucrat involved in any aspect of my life. Especially healthcare.

The USA is in bad shape because of big govt.

She doesn't make enough money for the government to take.

I am of the opinion that it is big insurance, pharma and medicine for profit that has gotten us into a lot of problems in health care. The government stepped in to help people like me, those who would not be insurable because of prior conditions. Now, if you don't like a forced tax to help cover emergency room visit flakes who don't pay their bill or the ones who simply can't, then that is another thing. but if you object to the bill on the grounds that it gives protection to me, children and seniors, this is where I object. There are some things in the bill that need fine tuning, but you can't throw the baby out with the bath water!

My healthcare carrier, in preparing itself for the Obama healthcare reform debacle, hiked my monthly premiums 56%.

When you have open enrollment make sure you look real closely at your new rate and get the hankies.
