It always boggles my mind that there can be guys who hold women in contempt, or worse. God's greatest damned creation by far, and he only had to engineer one prototype, men, before he conjured her up. :)

Are you aware that professional and statistically-valid poll data, and Census data is routinely used in sociological research? I'm not even a social scientist, but a hack like me is at least dimly aware of that!

I thought most people who went to college, or are fairly well-read, were at least generally aware of that. Oh well, I guess not!


At any rate, I'll chalk you up as another rightwinger who thinks they know more than women on scientific crap. I think that was the whole finding of the study - that dudes are absolutely convinced they know more (than women), even when they don't.

I think it worked out along evolutionary lines like this. Women evolved to be not only more intelligent but also sensitive towards the feelings of others so as not to crush the frail egos of men and because many decisions are far to important to be left up to men.

Men evolved to be significantly larger and stronger because, quite frankly, a lot of these more intelligent and sensitive women are.....well....evil.

Obviously there's a genetic element to this dude-thing about being know-it-alls, and overestimating how awesome and smart we are.

But women are to be blamed as well....clearly, there is a devious and premeditated element on their part to trick us into acting like know-it-all, egomaniacal nincompoops -- whilst secretly hogging scientific literacy and higher cognitive functions all to themselves. Much like the predator – Tiger or Orca – toys with its prey before devouring it. (j/k – channeling Asshat)

Women aren't smarter, they're just more willing to believe the propaganda of authority figures. Traditionally women have had less to fear in a patriarchal society, because they are always valued for their sex and reproduction capacity.

In patriarchal societies, men have to weigh whether the "authority figures" are really trying to help them, or trying to eliminate them as competition.

Men question authority and think for themselves. Women are mindless followers.

Interesting that the truth inspires personal attacks. You should get your head out of your mangina.

Women are more subservient to authority figures, because throughout evolution, authority figures have been males who will always value them for their she-ginas.

Males have needed to be more dubious of authority, because many times they are the target of male authority figures wishing to eliminate them as competition.
