TROPHY CLUB, Texas - Administrators at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club suspended a 16-year-old boy on Tuesday because his eyes were bloodshot and they thought he might have been smoking marijuana.

The teen said he was not high. Instead his eyes were red because he had been grieving the loss of his murdered father.

I don't think people should be suspended for showing up high. Obvousily in this case the teenager wasn't high. The fact that their showing up to school is a good sign. Anyone showing up to school high should spend more time at school not less. Their parents should be nottified and they should be required to spend some time talking to administators, teachers, school councilors as well as a detention. Drug users need to be in school. School maybe the only chance they have in life.

Oh I had so much experience with shit like this when I was high school in rural Coldwater, Ohio. If you weren't from one of the famous farming families who had lived in the area for 13 generations then you weren't worth dog shit and they would try and pull shit like this on you all the time just because you were different. Dollar to a hole in a doughnut that this kid was some poor hispanic kid.
