I'm Catholic too, and the only thing that offends me about a Crucifix in a jar of urine is that it was paid for with tax dollars. All I ax is that the artist sign his name clearly so again, it makes it easy for me to identify him as an asshole. That way if he designed a piece that I liked I'd know not to buy it.

Those of us in favor of the Manhattan Mosque were not blasting people for saying it was in bad taste. We were blasting people who were saying it should be stopped and spouting all the lies about it being at ground zero, being a training spot for terrorists and those saying we are at war with all who follow Islam.

Not I good sir. I am on the record as saying they can build their Mosque and the other group can burn the Qu'ran. It's all simple first amendment to me. Just like I don't cotton to the views of the KKK or the Nazi's in america, but they can march and protest and blather all they want.

People said it should be protested, and if there was any legal means of prohibiting it, we should explore every avenue. All along the way, every single person I conversed with who was opposed to the mosque, admitted it was their constitutional right to build it.

The mosque will most certainly be used as a recruitment tool for alQaeda, and will serve as a symbol of Islamic conquest. It stands to potentially cause MORE death to US soldiers than the Qaran burning, and it's too bad you didn't get Patreus' opinion on that, because he would probably be the first to admit it.

Regardless of what you obviously bigoted mind dreamed you heard, the issue of the mosque is really not much different than the issue of the qaran burning. In both cases, it is a protected constitutional right to allow it, and in both cases, it is in bad taste and not wise to do so. In neither case, is it 'religiously intolerant' or 'racist' or 'Islamaphobic" to voice opposition.

I remember hoards of people vehemently correcting that assertion as it was made! I have never met anyone, or heard anyone, claim we are at war with "all muslims" ...again, I challenge you to show us the evidence of this? I know that was the CLAIM made by the left, I know pinhead liberals keep SAYING that's what others have claimed, but I am not seeing that here in the forums, on the national talk shows, in print media, or anywhere else, so where is it coming from, and who is saying that? I'll give you a hint, pinhead, NO ONE is saying that, and NO ONE has EVER said that! It's a wild accusation without ANY basis in truth or actuality, and is par for the course for liberal asswipes these days.
